MIAMI, FL. — The college football season officially kicked off on Saturday and the Indiana Hoosiers were on that bus. They traveled down to Florida International to wake a few boyz up and found success in their adventure. After overcomin’ a 7-0 deficit the Hoosiers beat the Golden Panthers 38-28 to start the season 1-0.

If you’re a Hoosier fan you don’t care where or who they play as long as they come out of the joint with the “W” because that letter is typically hard to come by in Bloomington.

Peyton Ramsey led Indiana at quarterback finishin’ 20 of 27 for 156 yards and 3 touchdowns and one dull pick. The second team QB, Michael Penix, finished the night goin’ 8 of 10 for 96 yards from the pocket. However, everybody and their baby’s momma was lookin’ to see what the true freshman from Indianapolis’ Ben Davis, the reignin’ Mr. Football, Reese Taylor, was goin’ to do with the ball in his hands for the first time.

Well playas…he only had three touches but the dun was amazin’!! He finished the night with 3 carries for an outstandin’ 40 yards averagin’ 13.3 yards per carry. His longest run was for 32 yards. Keep in mind that he was in high school just three months ago. In my Bart Scott voice, “Can’t Wait” to see him get comfortable out there.

The Hoosiers broke a 7-7 tie and never looked back when Jonathan Crawford returned an interception 33 yards for a touchdown late in the first quarter. It was Chris Brown at that point for the Hoosiers. “On and Poppin’!”

I’m quite sure coach Tom Allen was satisfied with the way his Hoosiers played on the road in Week 1. They open their 2018 home schedule against the Virginia Cavaliers next Saturday. It should be a lot of fun. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

3) Chris Brown: noun – R&B singer with a hit song called “On and Poppin’!”

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
