Folks have been trying to act like the Golden State Warriors had fallen off around these NBA streets because the Denver Nuggets were sitting in the driver’s seat in the West. Well playas…they ran off into a boyz crib on Tuesday night and turned over the dining room table, rearranged ALL of the furniture and put on the man of the house’s robe.

By the time the smoke cleared in Denver the Warriors had beaten the brakes off of the Nuggets 142-111. They kicked the front door in like the feds with a 51 point first quarter and never looked back.

It was NUTS!!!! They shot 19-25 for 76 percent from field and 10-14 for 71 percent from behind the arc all in the opening quarter to lead 51-38. That’s an NBA record for points in an opening quarter and the 10 three pointers was a franchise record for any quarter according to ESPN Stats andInformation.

It was the second most points they’ve ever scored in a quarter. In 1989 they put up 57 points in a third quarter against Sacramento.

Kevin Durant hit them up with 17 points knocking down a perfect 7 for 7 from the field in that opening quarter as Klay Thompson drilled in 13 and Steph Curry popped them for 12 in just the OPENING period. As you can imagine Denver is watching this foolishness like, “It’s different levels to this. They were on some Meek Mill type joints watching it unfold.

Both Klay and Steph finished the night with 31 apiece andKD walked out of there with 27 in his pocket. Incredible!!!

Everybody wants to be the man but everybody can’t be the man when it’s all said and done. You’ve got to be special enough to pull it off and at the end of the day Golden State is still the best team in the league. Regardless of what you think you know or what you think you’ve heard they’re the best team walking.

They shoot too well and they spread the ball like no one we’ve ever seen. They don’t care who’s scoring on any given night as long as they get the job done because all know that they’re going to get theirs at some point.

As they walked out of the joint the Western Conference lead had changed and they were again sitting on top of the standings. In my Big Momma’s voice, “Always be careful what you ask for!” Stop me when I start lyin’!
