Don’t Sleep on the Boilermakers the rest of the way!!! “Purdue’s not playin’ with these boyz!”

WEST LAFAYETTE, IN. — The Purdue Boilermakers struggled out of the gate this 2018 season loosing their first three ball games by a total of 7 points. They primarily loss those games because of bone headed mistakes down the stretch of games like getting hit with unsportsmanlike conduct penalties etc. They had Northwestern, who came in on an 8 game winning streak, bleeding from the mouth and holding on to the ropes and gave it away at the end with stupid penalties. They let Eastern Michigan hang around way too long and penalties got them in the end. Lastly, no way should Mizzou have walked out with a win. However, when playing with not an ounce of discipline shows up that’s what happens.

Coach Jeff Brohm wasn’t having it any longer playa. They tighten things up and the Boilermakers have rattled off three straight wins to even the score at .500. They’re now 3-3 playin’ with so much swag they need a theme song like my man Shaft. They went over to Illinois a 10 dog and walked out of the joint with a 46-7 win. Talk about gettin’ busy!!

On some real talk, they’ve got crazy talent and should be 6-0 right now!!! But everybody affiliated with Purdue will take the turn around at this point. They’re three games from becoming bowl eligible and something that I didn’t see 4 weeks ago. Not with the bone headed mistakes they were making.

Now it’s a real possibility for them to go bowling at the end of the season. Boyz aren’t just crossing the Boilermakers off when they see them on the schedule. Everybody’s in for a fight when Purdue comes up. Even the No.2 Ohio State Buckeyes that come calling on Saturday at Ross-Ade. Yeah, I know that they’re 7-0 and beating the brakes off of everybody but Purdue’s not trying to give up their sneakers and jewelry without a fight.

I’ll be covering that ball game and it should be a good one for at least a half or so. Now I’m not crazy enough to believe that Ohio State will come in sleeping on Purdue but the Buckeyes depth is much deeper than Purdue’s. So the second half can tend to get away from a boy. However, turnovers can change a game and that makes for an interesting afternoon. In my Bart Scott voice, “Can’t Wait!!” Stop me when I start lyin’!
