Don’t blame Kanye for being a fool! Blame all the fools that DIDN’T VOTE!!! “POWER and DECENCY”

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA — By now EVERYBODY and their baby’s momma plus Uncle LeRoy has seen the ignorance that was Kanye West putting on a full blooded Minstrel Show at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the ENTIRE universe on Thursday morning. I don’t have to recap the foolishness that took place but I will defend the outrage of it all.

I heard people like Herschel Walker and others calling for CNN to fire Don Lemon for mentioning Kanye’s mother and calling it a racist rant. Well playas, anybody that’s been black for more than two and a half seconds has heard the phrase “Your mother, father, Big Momma or whoever raised you would be rolling over in their graves with the foolishness you just did.” There wasn’t anything racist or disrespectful about what Lemon said. He told the God’s honest truth. Anybody black in America with any type of pride for self or the people that came before them that died a slave, lived through the eras of Jim Crow and the Civil Rights Movement have a right to be OUTRAGED this morning by Kanye’s actions on Thursday.

He is a complete embarrassment to ALL Americans but especially to black folks. What he did was reprehensible and it’s about time that our young people stop taking our rights and privileges for granted and start really using their power of the vote to make a difference.

Stop listening to clowns like Killer Mike tell you that it makes sense not to vote at all if you don’t see a candidate that you like. Stop listening to fools that don’t understand that by not voting at all, you’re voting for the darn candidate that is the most dangerous to your future. A none vote is a yes vote for the other side you idiot. A vote for the independent is a yes vote for the person that you don’t want the most in office. Voting for an independent is just as ignorant as not voting at all. There are only two parties in this country, Democrat and Republican. Anything else is simply a distraction.

While I’m on the subject of political parties please allow me to dispel the all out ignorance that Kanye tried to spit about why black folks support the Democratic party. Yes, we once supported the Republican party primarily because it was the party of Abraham Lincoln because he freed the slaves.

However, they didn’t have the right to vote freely. In 1960 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was pulled over in Atlanta for a routine traffic stop. He was arrested and thrown into jail. Instead of them putting him into the local jail they threw him in the state prison. Coretta Scott-King was afraid that they would kill her husband in prison so she called both presidential candidates at the time, Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy, to ask for help in getting Dr. King out of jail. Nixon ignored the call and Kennedy sent his brother Bobby to get Dr. King out. At that point black folks became loyal to the party that was loyal to the movement.

We wouldn’t have ever seen Kanye West sitting in the Oval Office with millions of people watching his Minstrel Show had people used the power of their vote to keep Donald Trump out of office in the first place. We can’t be mad at Kanye West for being a damn fool yesterday because he was a damn fool before Donald Trump was ever elected.

We’ve had Kanye West-types since the beginning of time. There were Africans selling other Africans into slavery. There were slaves telling on other slaves to get a better position in the Big House and there decedents are still alive and well today, and yes, they have platforms too. People like Stacy Dash, Charles Barkley, Jason Whitlock and now Kanye West are all trying to enhance their positions in the Big House. It’s sad but it’s true.

And will somebody please tell me what Jim Brown was doing? He was once a rider for civil rights with Muhammad Ali, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and others. Now he’s riding around with Kanye? They must have told Jim they were going to MCL Cafeteria and he just jumped in the car. He couldn’t have known that foolishness was about to jump off. You can’t get me to believe that.

If you didn’t vote during the 2016 presidential election it’s your fault that we even witnessed that foolishness or any of this foolishness. Donald Trump never lied to anybody on the campaign trail about who he was. His ignorance and disrespect for minorities, including women, was on full display but you didn’t vote and the supporters of that ignorance did. So don’t blame Kanye West for being a straight up fool, blame yourself for continuing to support his music to give him the platform to be heard. Blame the president that you allowed into power by not voting to give Kanye and others the power to destroy whatever dignity the office of the presidency had when he took over.

In my Big Momma voice, “Let this be a lesson to us all! We have the power to make this a great place to live for ALL people if we use our power to vote.” Stop me when I start lyin’!
