Do you have what it takes to make TheJayGravesReport “All-Drip” Team in 2019? “Lions”

INDIANAPOLIS – As we sit on the cusp of the 2019 high school football season boyz are wondering what TheJayGravesReport has in store to bring that flavor to the weekly previews and Hot Joints!!! Well playas…it’ll be a lot of the same but with a 2019 twist.

One of the traditional joints boyz like to see is the All-Uniform team which is something that I talk about constantly. When I see players that know how to put their uniforms on with crazy swag it’s brings excitement to the game. Instead of calling it the All-Bus team like we called in back in my day or calling it the All-Uniform team like I’ve been calling it for the past couple of years. In 2019, It will be known as the “All-Drip” Team.

Who’ll be drippin’ wet when they walk on the field this year? Now keep this real playa. You can’t make the All-Drip Team if you ain’t playing. It’s cool to look the part but if you’re standing on the sideline looking hot to def (hip hop reference) but you’re bone dry boyz ain’t checking for you. You’ve got to be on the field puttin’ in work!!!

We’ve had some big time All-Drip cats in the past but what will boyz pull out of the closet this year. Your shoes have to be on point. It goes without question that your uniform has to fit you like a glove with the accessories being on fire and it always helps when a boy walks like a boss. For the past two season the homie Dylan Downing has been a consistant member of the All-Drip team. That’s why he’s on the cover of this joint starting the season off because his confidence is always on 10.

The homies Lil’ Baby and Gunna said best in the song Drip Too Hard, “Drip too hard, don’t stand too close, you gone mess around and drown off this wave.” Well playas…I wanna drown off your wave when you show up on Friday nights looking like you’ve been here before.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! When you step out on the field looking like you know what you’re doing it intimidates your opponent. If you just half put your joint on boyz aren’t checking for you in warm ups or during the game for that matter. Half the battle is perception. You want to win the mental game going into the game too.

Sure, some old head will tell you that it’s all about what you do on the field and that may be 100 percent correct. However, the more you prepare during the offseason and during game week to get better. The more your confidence builds the more it manifests itself in your outward behavior. Someone told me a long time ago that you don’t have to brag about what you’ve accomplished or the talent that you possess. Why? Because people can see it written all over your body language. A lion never has to tell people that he’s a lion. He just walks in and boyz respect him.

When I was coming up we always said that if you look good you play good, if you play good you get paid good. Getting paid is winning and getting all of the awards playa. Now a lot of cats think that Deion Sanders came up with that line but he was simply a product of 1985. We graduated from high school the same year. He lived in Ft. Myers, Florida and I grew up in Gary, Indiana. Everybody said the same thing just like that do now without the internet.

The way you put your uniform on every Friday night says a lot about how you’ve prepared all week. So I’m ready to see you drippin’ wet when the season starts. Who’s going to make my All-Drip Team? Only you can break that down bruh but you can stop me when I start lyin’!
