Dak’s got his bread now and who cares if the Cowboys win? Jerry Jones never has.

Ole Jerry Jones finally decided that it made sense to pay Dak Prescott on Monday. After three years of acting like his franchise quarterback wasn’t a franchise quarterback despite placing the franchise tag on him. They finally woke up, smelled the coffee and paid the man.

The Cowboys and Dak agreed on a 4-year deal worth $160 million with $126 million GUARANTEED!!! That’s NUTS!!! It’s technically a 6 year deal but voids to four to help Dallas against the salary cap. It’s all semantics and who cares how it all breaks down? The deal could be worth $164 million to Dak in the end. Either way the dun got paid.

His signing bonus was $66 million and he has $75 million due to him in Year 1 of the deal. The first three years of the contract will pay him $42 million per season. I’d say that Dak made out like a bandit and I’m not mad at him.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Is Dak worth that type of bread? He darn sure is. Why? Because an old timer once told me that you’re always worth what somebody is willing to pay you. Stop hating on Dak and the bread he got and applaud him for having the gonads to ask for it. Applaud him for hiring the right agent that could negotiate it.

Jerry Jones had the bread to pay him and he knew it. Who cares if the Cowboys wins another game? Jerry Jones has been winning for years at the bank. He doesn’t care about them winning Super Bowls so why should Dak? This is a business. The Cowboys franchise is worth $5.7 billion and they haven’t won a Super Bowl in 26 years and have barely won a freakin’ playoff game.

Jerry isn’t thinking about winning championships. He’s focused on how much money he can make off of Cowboy fans and everybody knows it. So why should Dak be concerned with building a team around him to not win anyway? All over social media Cowboy fans were fired up that he took so much bread saying that they won’t have enough to build around him. So what! They’re horrible anyway. Jerry Jones is the owner, president and general manager. He’s not trying to win games. He’s trying to get paid.

Dak got his money and now his family is set for life. I’d say it was a fair deal. If he handles it properly his family is set for life. Stop me when I start lyin’!
