INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Colts started the season 1-1 and then dropped four straight looking like they were about to nose dive into the Grand Canyon without a parachute. They were stinking up the joint at 1-5 then all of a sudden they’ve rattled off four straight wins with a rout of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday 38-10.
In my Ice Cube voice, “Today was a good day!” Reggie Wayne was inducted into the Ring of Honor and Andrew Luck stayed upright completing 23 of 29 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns. His passer rating was an astonishing 143.8. That means that he was off the charts good on Sunday playa.
It’s amazing what they can do when they keep Luck upright. They’ve climbed from the bottom of the AFC South to second behind the Texans now. In my Drake voice, “We started from the bottom now we’re here!” Now they’re beginning to look like a real football team that can contend with most teams in the league. Can you say playoffs in Indianapolis?
If they keep playing as well as they’re playing right now these last six games should be a blast to watch. They’re capable of winning the next two games against the Dolphins and the dull Jaguars. They’ll have their hands full with the Texans in Houston the following week. Then they’ve got the Cowboys and Giants at the crib. I would say they’ll split those two games going 1-1 and they close out with Tennessee on the road. They should smoke them again.
So if my numbers are correct they should win 4 of their final 6 ball games and finish 9-7. Will that be enough to make the playoffs? Well…that all depends upon what Houston does down the stretch. Keep your seat belts on playa because it should be a blast. Stop me when I set lyin’!
