Colts keepin’ Papa John’s doesn’t surprise us because the NFL simply doesn’t care! “The Narrative”

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — Unfortunately, it has become obvious that the NFL just doesn’t get it when it comes to carin’ about racial and social injustice in America. The good ole boy’s club of old white billionaire owners don’t care that 70 percent of their work force is black and have lived through the very racism we’re speakin’ of. As long as they’re makin’ money off of them and the mainstream audience keeps buyin’ tickets what racism are you really talkin’ about?

They’ve completely changed the narrative of the anthem protest into players disrespectin’ the flag and the military when Colin Kaepernick clearly stated that he was kneelin’ in protest of police brutality, racial and social injustice.

Last week the Indianapolis Colts announced that they were continuin’ their partnership with Papa John’s Pizza. In an email Steve Campbell, the vice president of communications, said, “Because of the significant corporate changes made by Papa John’s, we don’t anticipate making any changes at this time.”

Those changes were John Schnatter steppin’ down as the chairman of the board of directors after using the N-word to try to throw a dead Colonel Sanders under the bus for usin’ it. Colonel Sanders was born in 1890 and was ignorant by default. The fact that Schnatter tried to act like Sanders was worse than him makes it even more egregious. Wrong is wrong.

Then after he stepped down he said that it was a mistake for him to do that. Really bruh? The company also removed his image from all of the company’s advertising. However, he still owns 30 percent of the darn company.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Soooo….by him steppin’ down nothin’ has changed but the advertising image. He’s still making all of the bread off the pizza. At some point there has to be major ramifications for bein’ a racist and those that continue to allow people like Schnatter to keep gettin’ money after this foolishness are complicit.

The University of Louisville wanted nothin’ more to do with him as they removed his name off of their football stadium and the Center for Free Enterprise inside the business school last month. Purdue followed suit removin’ his name from a campus buildin’ as well. Why? Because they are tryin’ to teach their students that we are supposed to treat everyone fairly in this country. If they don’t step up and be an example then who will?

The Indiana Pacers have said in a statement, “We strongly condemn racism and insensitive language and they do not belong in our society under any circumstance and in no way represent the values of Pacers Sports & Entertainment. The sponsorship agreement between the Indiana Pacers and Papa John’s International Inc. recently expired and the Indiana Fever sponsorship expires shortly.  We are closely monitoring and evaluating the situation regarding the future.”

In other words, they’re waitin’ on the Fever’s deal to end before they say anything else about it. The NBA completely gets it so I would expect for the Pacers to sprint in the opposite direction once the Fever’s deal expires. The one league that seems to always look to do the right thing as it relates to it’s players is the NBA. I can’t see the Pacers continuin’ to do business with Papa John’s with 70 percent of their roster bein’ black with GUARANTEED contracts. It would be a slap in their faces and the Pacers are much better than that. So we’ll sit in the cut and wait to see. Don’t let me down playas and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
