Colts ball out down the stretch to erase 10-point deficit to beat Dolphins! “Eating”

INDIANAPOLIS — After starting the season 1-5 the Indianapolis Colts have righted the ship and have won 5 straight including a 27-24 thriller over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. Andrew Luck and Co. scored 13 points in the final 8 1/2 minutes to erase a 10 point deficit to walk out of the joint with the “W” to improve to 6-5. This five game winning streak is the longest such streak for the franchise since 2014. That’s NUTS!!!

The Miami Dolphins got out of the ride and punched the Colts square in the mouth on their opening drive. It took them only 6 plays to go 75 yards when Ryan Tannehill hit Kenyon Drake on a short screen pass that he takes it 33 yards to the house. The Dolphins go up 7-0 before a boy could even get to his seat and bite into his hog dog good. What’s so crazy is that they hadn’t scored an offensive touchdown in 26 straight drives. Then they had the nerve to walk into Lucas Oil and cash in on the the opening drive.

Well…all that did was wake the Colts up as they took over and methodically walked it back down the field 5 plays for 75 yards as Andrew Luck hit Eric Ebron on a 14 yard touchdown to knot it all up with 9:37 left in the first quarter. That touchdown pass was Luck’s 34th straight game with a touchdown. Talk about putting in work?

However, after both teams exchanged opening drive touchdowns the fireworks stalled as they both got riddled with either turnovers or penalties finishing the first quarter in a 7-7 tie.

Just before the half ended the fireworks kicked back up. With only 1:44 left in the half the Colts scored when Luck found Jack Doyle on a 1 yard touchdown to go up 14-7. Then all of a sudden Miami pulled out the clown suits and scored in just 2 plays as Tannehill finds Leonte Carroo on a 74 yard touchdown pass to knot it up 14-14 with a minute to go in the half.

Somehow both teams pulled out the whoopee cushions as they started trading interceptions. Luckily they were able to get into the break without giving up anymore points.

The third quarter was relatively quiet as the Dolphins put three-points on the board with a Sanders 29-yard field goal. Then with 13:36 left to play Kenyan Drake hit the Colts again with a 14-yard TD run to put Miami up 24-14. It was looking like problems for Indianapolis at that point.

However, Luck and Co. strapped up and went to work and in the final 8 and a half minutes they set the place on fire scoring 13 points to cap off a 27-24 victory. Luck finished the night going 30-37 for 343 yards and three touchdowns. Forget about the two dull picks he balled out to lead the Colts to their 5th straight victory.

What I want to know is who was the genius that had him out there catching 4th and 1 passes getting blown up when we already know that the cat is fragile. He doesn’t need to be taking any unnecessary hits. Take that foolishness out of the game plan from now on. Up next: Colts go on the road to Jacksonville.
