Clemson beats the brakes, doors, transmission and back seats off of Alabama to win the National Title!

SANTA CLARA — It’s been 33 years since a true freshman led a team to a national championship as a quarterback. The last time it’s happened Jamelle Holiway led the Oklahoma Sooners to the title in 1985. Well…playas Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence went to work on the Crimson tide as they beat the brakes off of Alabama 44-16. And trust me playa, it could have been worse.

Bama forces Clemson to the a quick three and out to start the game. The Crimson Tide started walking the joint down the field picking up a quick first down. Then Clemson’s A.J. Terrell jumped the rout and picked it as Tua Tagovailoa let it go 42 yards to the house to put the Tigers up 7-0 a minute and 40 seconds into the game.

Trip? No Trip!!! Tua put that joint back in the air four plays later to find Jerry Jeudy for a 60 yard touchdown to knot it up 7-7. Talk about fireworks bruh!!! Two touchdowns in the national championship game in less than 3 minutes.

Trevor Lawrence let’s everybody and their baby’s momma know that he was the most highly recruited high school quarterback in the history of college football when he settled down and hit Tee Higgins for a 62 yard strike just before Travis Etienne popped a 17 yard rushing touchdown to get back on top 14-7.

I’ve been tellin’ boyz that defense used to win championships but not anymore playa!!! It’s all about the offense and spreading the ball. Bruh…that was 21 points in less than 5 minutes into the game. It was a track meet!!!!

Nick Saban and Co. got in the Big Body Chevy and went right back down the field 10 plays for 75 yards as Tua Tagovailoa hits Hale Hentges for a 1 yard touchdown pass. Their kicker must have eaten what the Bears’ Cody Parkey ate on Sunday night because that dun missed a darn chip shot extra point. So the Crimson Tide tailed 14-13. Did I mention that this was all still the first quarter?

Bama turned up the heat and forced Clemson to punt as they wasted no time marching it right back down their throats going for it on a 4th and 1 from the 6 and got it. Clemson’s front seven finally woke up and forced Bama to kick a field goal to make it 16-14 just inside of the second quarter.

Uhhhh…Dabo Swinney is getting the bag too playa and he let a boy know that his Tigers weren’t anything to play with as they skate boarded right back down the field 6 plays for 65 yards as Travis Etienne scored on a 1 yard run to make it 21-16. Put ya head on a swivel playa because it was like watching the U.S. Open.

Bama showed some moxy going for it on 4th and 1 from their on own 30 yard line and got it. Two plays later Tua goes for the house and gets picked by Clemson’s Trayvon Mullen and he returns it 46 yards to the 47 yard line. That was Tua’s second pick of the night in case y’all were checking.

The Tiger’s Trevor Lawrence put on the Superman cape and walked these boyz down the field as he hit Travis Etienne on a 5 yard shuffle pass for the score. Dabo’s boyz went up 28-16 with 4:38 left in the half. In my Puffy Bad Boy voice, “It just got real in the field” for Alabama. Down 12 points and their front seven was breathing hard. In my Bernie Mac voice, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.!!!!

Clemson finally stalled in the red zone and had to settle for a Greg Huegel 36 yard field goal to go up 31-16 just before the break. T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!

Bama comes right out of the break marches into the red zone and panics. Instead of kicking a field goal on 4th down they faked it and got caught with their pants down as Clemson’s front 7 did work. T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!!

Then Trevor Lawrence not only put the cape on but he jumped out of the Bat Mobile and threw a 74 yard touchdown pass to Justyn Ross to go up 37-16. T-R-O-U-B-L-E!!!  Clemson scored on 5 of their previous 6 possessions.

Tua and Co. finally settled down and got into the red zone, went for it on fourth down and missed it AGAIN. Clemson took over on downs and Lawrence led them right back down the field as he hit Tee Higgins on a 5 yard touchdown pass to make it 44-16.

UNCLE!! I give bruh! I stopped covering this foolishness as Bama couldn’t get anywhere near Trevor Lawrence. They had 45 sacks all season and not one on Monday night. Did I tell you that it was still the third quarter?

Bama had three turnovers on downs inside the 25 yard line! OUCH!!! That’s how bad Clemson’s defense was putting it on them. They beat the brakes, doors, transmission and the back seats off of Alabama as they went on a 31-0 run.

The true freshman finished 19-31 for 347 yards passing and 3 touchdowns as he rode off into the sunset.
