After goin’ out to Philly and knockin’ off the No.2 Villanova Wildcats last week. The No.22 Butler Bulldogs (22-6, 12-5 Big East) had to make another stop on the road in Cincinnati to holler at Xavier (18-11, 8-8 Big East) and to pick up some Pappadeaux on the way to the crib. After seven ties and 17 lead changes the Bulldogs finally got outta the joint alive with an 88-79 victory.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Butler’s rollin’ down the final stretch settin’ themselves up for a opportunity to make the NCAA Tournament with an impressive resume. With wins against then No.8 Arizona, knockin’ down then No.1 Villanova at the crib and then No.2 Villanova on the road. Not to mention earlier beatin’ then No.22 Xavier at home and goin’ on the road to knock them off again Sunday.
These cats have been nothin’ short of impressive all season long bruh. Kelan Marin led the Bulldogs with 25 points and 7 rebounds comin’ out of the bushes. Kamar Baldwin showed up and showed out with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists. Andrew Chrabascz jumped out of the ride with 11 points and 6 assists.
It should be interestin’ to see where the Bulldogs are seeded in the NCAA Tournament but boyz still have to put in work in the Big East Tournament first. They’ve got one more regular season game on the March 4th at the crib against dull Setan Hall but you can never sleep on a boy. Keep ya seat belts on and ya heads on a swivel. Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
2) Comin’ out of the bushes: verb phrase – to come off of the bench.
