Brad Stevens would be crazy to even entertain the thought of the IU job! “Dreams vs a Nightmares”

Indiana runs through yet another coach. Archie Miller is fired. Who's got next?

Now that IU has finally pushed Archie Miller out of the moving car like the Five Heartbeats did ole Eddie Kane Jr. Everybody and their baby’s momma and cousin Man-Man has instantly packed Brad Stevens’ house up in Boston and are ready to move him to Bloomington without even asking themselves the most important question. WHY ON EARTH WOULD he want to come to Bloomington?

He’s coaching in the NBA for the world famous Boston Celtics! So you’re saying that he should leave the dream job to take the nightmare job at IU? Twenty years ago that was a great job to take if you were on the come up. IU is a disaster of a program that simply churns coaches. You go to IU to get fired not to win anything. You go to IU to get into Big time college basketball from a mid-major. Not leave the NBA to get fired.

The pressure is ridiculous and they won’t give a coach the time to turn the program around. Not to mention all of the other foolishness that come with the job of coaching in Bloomington.

Now I could be totally wrong here but the man is already coaching at the highest level of basketball and making $3.6 million per year to coach ONLY!!! Even if Boston should happen to let him go at the season’s end which I doubt very seriously. There are still other jobs open in the NBA that will pay him just as much money to coach at the highest level.

Why on earth would he go back to college basketball and especially IU? You leave the NBA to coach at Duke or North Carolina not freakin’ IU.

For kicks and giggles let’s entertain the foolishness of coming to Bloomington even if they paid him let’s say $4 million. Instead of coaching ONLY. He’s now the CEO, general manager and the head scout for the same freakin’ money that he was making in the NBA just coaching. Heck…even if they offered him $5 million at IU he’s still working harder than he needs to. He’s got a growing family that he wants to spend time with.

So during his off-seasons now instead of vacationing with his family and chilling out at the crib all summer. He’s now on the road trying to convince 15 to 17 year olds to come play for him when they graduate from high school. We already know the temperament of young teenagers flip-flopping on decisions and the stress that can cause. Why volunteer for all of that nonsense when you don’t have to? He’s already got a great job.

He’s also got to wrestle with the trustees, administration and boosters on who he can and cannot sign for any number of reasons. He’s got to deal with boosters telling him how to run his program and what “they” think is best for the program as opposed to what he thinks is best.

He’d be crazy to create more work for himself when he doesn’t have to. If he gets canned at Boston. He’s not being banned from taking another NBA job. So again, WHY ON EARTH would he go to Bloomington? Because he’s from Indiana? That makes absolutely no sense and it’s a terrible job. You can’t win at Indiana because if you could they’d be winning.

Put yourself in his shoes. Would you take a job that requires triple the work for the same money you’re already making doing only one thing? And IU is a dumpster fire to resurrect. So that means he’ll be working even harder just to win games over .500 down there. He’d be crazy to take that job. Stop me when I start lyin’!
