Boyz are tryin’ to hustle No.1 Warren Central before the Sectionals even start! “Shenanigans!”

It’s OFFICIALLY Tournament time in the state of Indiana for Boys High School Basketball. The young ladies finished up this past Saturday night with Warren Central walkin’ away with the Class 4A title reppin’ the city of Indianapolis and more specifically, the East Side!!

On Tuesday the young men tip it off and I’m upset already!!! Y’all know how I get down bruh. I just want to see things done fairly and for some strange reason boyz puttin’ these tournaments together for both football and basketball don’t wanna play right.

As I started lookin’ through the different sectionals and checkin’ out the matchups etc. I noticed some foolishness right out of the gate, AGAIN!!! When I got to Sectional 10 over at Warren Central, which is the best sectional in the state at the Class 4A level, I saw some shenanigans that shouldn’t be.

Lawrence North (17-6) plays Cathedral (19-4) at 6pm on Tuesday. Then Warren Central (25-0) is playin’ Tech (4-17) at 7:30pm and therefore, would have to play again on Friday against North Central if they win. Both Lawrence Central (15-6) and North Central (7-14) got byes to start tournament play.

Now let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Why is the No.1 team in the state that’s 25-0, who’s playin’ in the toughest sectional in the state, lookin’ at havin’ to win three games to get out of the sectional? When teams like North Central and Lawrence Central only have to play two games to get out?

Now duns will argue that they did a blind draw and that is true. However, the question is, why are we still doin’ blind draws? What’s the point in playin’ the regular season if the wins and the loses don’t count for anything? What’s the point in Warren Central goin’ 25-0 if they’ve still got to play on Tuesday at North Central, who went 7-14 and get the bye until Friday? That’s makes absolutely no sense and it isn’t fair to the kids that put in the most work durin’ the regular season.

It was the same foolishness durin’ football season when Ben Davis was the No.1 team in the state and undefeated. However, they had to travel to play in the sectionals and regionals. All because there was a blind draw. At some point there has to be a seeded process put in place to make this thing fair. Otherwise, stop wastin’ everybody’s time in playin’ the regular seasons and just start the tournaments from jump and get it over with. I’m just sayin’ and now you can stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
