Around the M.I.C. Saturday mornin’ wrap up! “The Good The Bad The Ugly”

AROUND The M.I.C. — The Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference better known as the M.I.C. finished with a .500 record on Friday night! They had 4 wins and 4 losses. Week 2 was great for some teams and a complete disaster for others. Let’s start with the amazin’ come from behind performance of the No.1 Warren Central Warriors on NATIONAL Television on ESPNU!!! I was keepin’ up with the Warren Central Athletic Department all night on Twitter.

They were in trouble early on as Louisville Trinity jumped all over them comin’ out of the gate goin’ up 21-0. Then the kids from the FAR EAST Side started chippin’ away at it and by late in the second quarter they were only down 28-21. As I continued to get updates with 5:34 left in the third quarter they were in a hole again down 41-21. They kept fightin’ like the kids from the FAR EAST SIDE usually do and by the time the smoke cleared they were victorious 42-41!!! Absolutely remarkable comeback with “The Emcomparable David Bell” scorin’ the winnin’ touchdown. This kid has had the most amazin’ high school experience!!! He’s played all four years on varsity and he led the hoop team to an undefeated season at 32-0 cappin’ it off with a Class 6A state title last season.

What can I say about the boyz over at No.7 North Central bruh? Second year head coach Kevin O’Shea better known on TheJayGravesReport as Chinchilla O’Shea because he brings so much Swag to the sidelines. He has these boyz 2-0!! They went up to No.8 Hamilton Southeastern and laid the wood on them 31-13. Lookout playas!!!  North Central may become a problem in the M.I.C. this year for a lot of people.

No.2 Carmel went out to Noblesville and took care of business draggin’ the Millers 34-7. Coach Hebert is doin’ a helluva job of bein’ consistent. That’s another team to keep your eyes on in 2018.

No.9 Lawrence Central got their hats handed to them at home against Bishop Chatard 34-20. I guess Chatard told me where I could stick that Dr’s note I was tryin’ to get them earlier this week. First year coach John Rosenberg is strugglin’ to find answers on what seemed to be a veteran team.

Pike goes out to Fishers and takes some lumps gettin’ beat 31-14 as No.6 Center Grove gets ran over out at New Palestine 31-9. I guess New Pal heard me teasin’ them about the Dr’s note too. Salute to all of the winners on Friday night!!

With Week 2 in the books boyz better start lookin’ forward to Week 3 or they’ll get turned upside down.

Playas Thesaurus: Learn these words!!!

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.

3) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
