Anthony Davis DEMANDS a trade and LeBron’s power is on FULL display!! “His boyz aren’t Mascots”

On Monday Anthony Davis pulled an old school Gap Band move on the Pelicans. He “Dropped the Bomb” on them by demanding a trade. Ole boy wants out of there!! No ifs, ands or buts about it!! OUT!! As soon as the word got out that Davis gave the word boyz around media circles and the league started huffin’ and puffin’ about LeBron running the league without having to say a word. It’s some ole Mafioso-type joints.

Keep in mind that the Lakers want Anthony Davis and LeBron’s homeboy/business partner Rich Paul is Davis’ agent. So you already know what the drill is. Boyz are literally sitting in a room with their feet kicked up moving pieces on the Chess board changing the landscape of the NBA.

Folks were already blazin’ HOT when a 26 year old LeBron used his power in 2010 when he set down with his boyz Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade when they decided to hook up in Miami. People weren’t ready for three young black players to literally pull a power move like that. Even old head black folks were hating on the move that was orchestrated by a young hood cat from Akron. They’d been brainwashed to believe that you can’t make a move until given permission to do so.

Well that thought process went straight out of the window because they went to four straight Finals winning two of them. Ole traditional looking executives in the league were furious that they didn’t get the chance to make the deal happen instead of some young cats thinking on their own.

LeBron changed the landscape of the what the athlete can and will do. In a league where 70 percent of the workforce is black making a combined billions of dollars per year it’s crazy that it took this long for a player to take control of the game. There is no game without the player and the best player is always the most powerful whether they use the power or not.

Well playas…LeBron James has used his power and literally flexed his muscles in doing so. He didn’t do what boyz traditionally do when they come into the league. He didn’t bring his homeboys from Akron with him to be his mascots like most cats do. I’ve been covering the NBA for almost 10 years. I see it every year when young cats get drafted. They show up to whatever NBA city they’re playing with two or three cats from home that serve no purpose other than familiarity. They have no job, no purpose, no responsibility and they are ALL cost to the player. Like I said, they become the player’s mascot. Hey bruh, don’t get mad at me.  I’m just calling you what you are. If you have no job, no responsibility, no purpose and a grown man is feeding and clothing you every day you are a mascot.

LeBron on the other hand kept his boyz in the loop and taught them the game as they were around all of this foolishness anyway. Now they are millionaires in their own right. Rich Paul was selling authentic jerseys when LeBron was in high school. They met at the airport and he called LeBron out for wearing a not so authentic jersey. They’ve been boyz ever since.

Now Paul is LeBron’s agent and he also represents cats like Eric Bledsoe, John Wall, Ben Simmons and none other than Anthony Davis through Klutch Sports. Go peep the contracts all of those cats have signed and tell me if Rich Paul doesn’t know the game. Yes playboy, LeBron doesn’t have mascots running around with him. He’s got legitimate playas making legitimate things happen.

So getting back to Anthony Davis demanding a trade. If your boy was Davis’ agent what would you guys be trying to do? Run the league! Why? Because you can! Why? Because you’ve got the power to do so. It doesn’t make sense to have the power and not use it. I’m surprised that it took players 73 years of players playing in the NBA to figure that they had all of the power in the first place. Stop me when I start lyin’!
