Another example of ESPN misleading you to protect Kobe and blame LeBron for the Lakers downfall. “#FACTS”

Earlier this week I wrote a crazy Hot Joint entitled “Non-Thinkers” telling boyz how much of a shame it is that the media has encouraged duns to hate on LeBron and how folks fall for the Oakey Doke because they don’t think for themselves. It’s crazy to me that many of these media-types will straight up lie to a boy to keep this foolishness going.

Not four days later I’m scrolling through Instagram and I see this post by the World Wide Leader in Sports, ESPN, painting a picture of this cat that is completely misleading. Once again they’re adding fuel to the fire of the nonsense that I just wrote about.

They’ve gave a post up that says Playoff Appearance Percentage for the Lakers with the caption “The Lakers missed the playoffs 5 times in the first 65 years as an organization. They’ve now missed 6 straight postseasons.” On one side of the post they’ve got the years 1949-2013 with Kareem and Kobe holding championship trophies with 92.3%. On the other side they’ve got the years 2014-2019 with Luke Walton and LeBron looking crazy with 0%.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! LeBron’s only been in LA for one season but they’ve painted the picture like he’s responsible for the decline. He was in Cleveland in the Finals for the past four seasons and he won one championship during that time frame. C’mon bruh and the Lakers would have made the playoffs this year had he not missed 18 games with a groin injury regardless of who was on the team. Ya’ll know that!! Stop with this foolishness. He’s gotten to the Finals with worse teams than this Lakers bunch he played with this year.

He took duns like Matthew Dellavedova, JR Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Finals and won with them. Please don’t tell me that ole boy couldn’t have made the playoffs with Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram if he were healthy. Stop it!!

And by the way wasn’t Kobe responsible for the down fall of the Lakers when the dun refused to get out of the way over the final three seasons of his career? He robbed them of $30 million in salary for one year when it was clear he couldn’t play at a $30 million level. Didn’t Kobe still want to be the number one option as to the reason why nobody wanted to go to LA until he retired? He was the reason why it was a dumpster fire when LeBron got there. He stayed too long and Jenny Buss paid him a fortune while no free agent in the summer of 2014 would touch LA with a ten foot pole. Those are the #FACTS.

Let me ask it again. Didn’t the Lakers miss the playoffs the final three years of Kobe career? I’m just asking because I was covering this league during that time period and I know I’m not crazy. So to be fair I think that ESPN should have put Kobe on both sides of the graph instead of just the winning side and he should have been holding LeBron’s hand. #FACTS!!! Stop me when I start lyin’!
