Now that we live in a world where football players have wised up to the fact that playing in a freakin’ all-star game puts their careers in jeopardy it’s pointless to even play the actual Pro Bowl game. Sure, it’s great to be named to the Pro Bowl and even show up for the week’s festivities but let’s just save everybody some time and not even play the stupid thing.
What’s the point in playing football if there is no sense of urgency or violence going on in the game. Nobody shows up to play hard and I completely get it. Therefore, there shouldn’t even be a darn game? You can’t play football without hitting anybody. You can’t play football without wanting to tackle or even being able to tackle a boy. So what’s the point?
It’s not like the NBA All-Star Game where NOBODY’S playing a lick of defense but you can still see boyz flying through the air like Under Dog doing tomahawk dunks and windmilling boyz. You get to see duns pulling up from half court and actually hitting the shots. Nobody wants to see the players playing defense because all you want is to see just how athletic these cats are in the NBA.
However, in football it’s pointless to play a physical game when NOBODY is being physical. It’s stupid to even put on the helmets and shoulder pads if you’re not going to use them. They’d do better playing a game of flag football or doing a darn skills challenge or something but to call it a football game is flat out ridiculous.
And let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The players, if they’re honest, don’t even want to play in that foolishness. They’ve already moved it from Hawaii to Orlando because nobody wanted to attend that nonsense. Now it’s time to just cancel it altogether. Name them Pro Bowlers but let’s skip the actual game.
We don’t see an All-American game with the college players do we? Why? Because it would be stupid. Who wants to play in a football game that means absolutely nothing when careers are too valuable to risk getting hurt? Stop me when I start lyin’!
