Why the NBA and WNBA just PROVED that All Lives DON’T Matter! “Three Fifths”

Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” Winston Churchill broke it down like this, “The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.” Then Confucius put it where the goats could get it when he spit, “Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.”

Well playas…what if a boy doesn’t know the extent of his own ignorance? The duns passin’ ignorant laws in the state of North Carolina has cost them millions of dollars bruh! The NBA announced on Thursday that it would be pullin’ the 2017 NBA All-Star Game out of Charlotte because of the dull House Bill 2, which limits anti-discrimination protections for gay lesbian, bisexual and transgender people in the state. DULL!!! For all of you simple minded individuals, that means that the law allows boyz to be free to discriminate against cats in the LBGT community which it IGNORANT.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! This mornin’ boyz are applaudin’ the NBA for pullin’ out and I’m askin’ a boy “What took you so long?” North Carolina passed the dull law back in March and it’s darn near August bruh! Accordin’ to the league they’ve been tryin’ to have constructive dialogue with the state to effect positive change. Naw playa, the positive change comes when you tell a boy to kick rocks for bein’ stupid and it shouldn’t have taken darn near five months. When Indiana (Governor Pence) tried to pull that foolishness last year the NCAA didn’t waste any time tellin’ a boy that if you don’t change the law we’re not showin’ up for the Final Four and that joint disappeared.

I’m pissed that the NBA drug it’s feet this long. But what I’m more upset about is the fact that they can pull the All-Star game out of Charlotte because they’re hollerin’ about makin’ positive change. However, the WNBA, which is run by the NBA, don’t get it twisted, is fining boyz for supportin’ the struggle of “Black Lives Matter” by wearin’ all black warm up tops. Now I blasted the WNBA on Thursday in the Hot Joint entited “Blacked Out” for bein’ hypocritical. They want the players to be involved in the community, to connect with the community as long as it doesn’t connect with the struggle of black people. I’m talkin’ but y’all ain’t listenin’ bruh!

Understand this playboy, there is a soft spot for our LBGT community and there should be. Why? Because EVERYBODY can identify with bein’ related to or knowin’ someone that is gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. So it’s easy to have empathy for that community because EVERYBODY connects with it through some type of relationship. However, not EVERYBODY has relationships with people in the black community, especially duns in positions of power. Most folks can go their ENTIRE lives and not have meaningful relationships with black folks. Therefore, when stuff comes across the desks of those makin’ decisions as it pertains to the lives of black people it gets shot down.

No way should the WNBA, in good conscience, be able to fine teams and players for supportin’ the struggle of black folks on one day and then not even 48 hours later move the NBA All-Star Game out of Charlotte in support of the LGBT community when more than 70 percent of it’s players are black. Wheredeydodatat?

You can support one cause but completely diss the other.?That’s a slap in the face to all of the black players and fans of the game! If in fact “All Lives Matter” then why are you finin’ the WNBA players for supportin’ part of the “All Lives Matter?” While we’re on this foolishness let me ask all of the people hollerin’ “All Lives Matter” where was “All Lives Matter” from 1619 to 2016?  Just in case you didn’t know, 1619 was the year when the first slave ship docked and boyz were sold in this country in Jamestown, Virginia!

Where was All Lives Matter in 1776 when the nation was celebratin’ it’s independence from the British and black folks where still bein’ bought and sold like cattle. Where was “All Lives Matter” when we were considered to be three fifths of a man when the constitution was bein’ drawn up?

And for all the folks that get offended by the term “Black Lives Matter” let me take you to school real quick. Just because the campaign says “Black Lives Matter” doesn’t mean that ALL other lives don’t matter! It’s an emphasis on the reality of “some” police in this country killin’ black folks as if those lives don’t matter to “those” officers. When you act like they “don’t” matter there has to be an emphasis put on where the problem is bruh. When year after year, month after month and day after day we see black men and women bein’ killed by the police in situations that shouldn’t end in death it’s a problem. So to reinforce that “Black Lives Matter” is important. We’ve gotta love each other!

When we celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and everybody puts on their pink in October we aren’t sayin’ that ALL of the other cancers aren’t important! When November roles around and it’s Diabetes Awareness month we aren’t sayin’ that ALL other chronic diseases aren’t important. When duns put together a Gay Pride Parade they aren’t sayin’ that heterosexuals aren’t important. They’re only emphasizin’ the importance of those movements because they can simply identify with them.

However, when duns say, “All Lives Matter” and then pull the stunts that the NBA and WNBA just pulled you’re really tellin’ boyz once again that “All Lives Don’t Matter” just those that they deem important. Once boyz stop talkin’ out of the side of their necks we can move forward in the country.

And for all of my Michael Jordan fans, where is the MOST POWERFUL black man influentially on the face of the earth? Somewhere with his head stuck in the sand tryin’ not to give his opinion! His franchise loses the All-Star Game and you and I both know that he had the juice and influence to at least try to stop this foolishness from gettin’ away.  And before you clowns run off and say that I’m blamin’ MJ for the loss. Naw playa, I’m blamin’ MJ for bein’ who he is. A dun that NEVER opens his mouth about anything unless it benefits he and his brand. And yes, he gave his opinion back in April but nobody heard him. And why is it that the MOST POWERFUL black man on the face of the planet spoke out and nobody heard him. I’m listenin’! But we’ll know when the new Jordan’s comin’ out though! Stop me when I start lyin’!
