RATIONAL THINKING, USA — If you sat up and listened to all of these cats on ESPN or any sports radio show you’ll consistently hear duns saying that Alabama is the No.1 team in the country simply because it’s Alabama. They can’t really tell you why they’re No.1. They just know that they should be No.1 because they haven’t loss a game yet. They’ve been beating the brakes off of everybody on their schedule. And guess what? That is true. They’ve mopped the floor with everyone on their schedule thus far.
But here’s the problem playboy, they haven’t played a single game this season and we’re in Week 9 of the College Football season. Bama has played 7 ball games up to this point and their schedule has been trash.
They’ve done what they always do in hiding in the south and never leaving to play a true road game during their non-conference schedule. They played Louisville in Atlanta on a neutral field. Then saddled up to played Arkansas State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and then took a total smoke break in Week 5 and played Louisiana Lafayette. Then picked up with Arkansas, Mizzou and Tennessee only to pull over on the side of the road again for a bye before playing their first real game of the season against LSU in Death Valley. So up to this point they’ve played NOBODY but they’re ranked No.1 in America for what reason? Because they’re Bama? I thought strength of schedule was supposed to mean something?
Then after LSU they pick up with dull Miss State before taking another smoke break by bringing in The Citadel before playing Auburn.
Notre Dame on the other hand will finish their season having played 11 FBS opponents. They only played one cupcake in Ball State. They beat Michigan who hasn’t loss a game since and looks to be the best team in the Big Ten right now. They Vanderbilt, Ball State, Wake Forest and Pitt. Nothing to brag about right? However, they beat both Stanford and Virginia Tech who are both in the hunt for their respective conference titles right now. They still have Navy, Northwestern, Florida State and USC on the schedule.
However, when you look at what both teams, Alabama and Notre Dame have done up to this point. There’s no way you can tell me that Notre Dame shouldn’t be ranked No.1 today!! They’ve got Michigan, Stanford and Va. Tech on the resume TODAY!!! All teams that are competing for their respective conference titles as we speak. Alabama’s got NOTHING on the resume TODAY!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
Why is Alabama ranked No.1 TODAY? See that’s that foolishness I’m talking about TODAY!!! The fact that Alabama is No.1 TODAY is the same reason they’ll be No.1 at the end of the season. If they beat LSU after not playing a single game all season boyz in the media will crown them No.1 in Week 11 while Notre Dame has a better resume with three legit wins verses Bama’s one. It’s insane the way this foolshness plays out.
And please don’t let Notre Dame lose a game. They’re as good as out of the playoff picture because the SEC loving ESPN will destroy them. There’s already only two spots left for the College Football Playoff right now. Alabama’s getting in regardless bruh. If they lose one game they’re still in. Either Georgia or Florida whichever wins the SEC East and gets into the SEC title game is the other. Let’s say either Georgia or Florida beats Bama both are getting in because these cats will say they you can’t deny the SEC champ or a one loss SEC team even if they played nobody all season. The ACC, Pac12 and Notre Dame all have to run the table to get even a sniff at the Playoff. That’s ridiculous.
