I’m always blown away by the amount of folks screaming and complaining about Ben Simmons not having a jumper. All I ever hear from cats is “Ole boy needs to develop a jumper bad. His game is suspect without him being able to shoot” etc.
Well playas…I watch the dun play and he’s killin’ the game just fine without one. Like I’ve said before, he’s a 6’10” 240 lb point guard that can get to the rack at will. He’s a mismatch every time he steps on the floor that’s freakin’ un-guard-able.
On Tuesday night the Sixers beat the Clippers 110-103 and ole boy had a triple double against one of the best teams in the league. As a matter of fact, he finished with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists!!! Why does he need a jumper again?
Simmons was getting to the rack at will and doing whatever he wanted to do to the Clippers. There isn’t a guard in the league that can stop him from getting to the rack. He averages 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for his career. Why does he need a jumper? He’s averaging 17-8-8 bruh!!! Stop it!
Boyz need to move on from that argument. Find somebody else to mess with because talking about Ben Simmons is crazy. He just signed a four-year extension worth $129 million. So why on earth would he need to develop a jumper?
He’s being paid at the top of the food chain to do what he’s currently doing. This season he’s making $8.1 million and then next season the extension kicks in where he’ll make $29 million in 2020/21, $31.3 million in 2021/22, $33.6 million in 2022/23 and $35.9 million in 2023/24. Why would he develop a jumper that he doesn’t need to make the money he’s already getting? Stop me when I start lyin’!
