Why being upset with Ole Miss’ basketball team shows a level of ignorance beyond belief! “Bergermeister Meisterberger”

By now everybody has seen, heard or commented on the fallout of the Ole Miss Basketball players kneeling during the national anthem on Saturday just before playing the Georgia Bulldogs at home. They were kneeling in protest to the hate groups that had filled their campus in their protest of students-led demonstrations to remove Confederate imagery from their campus.

So it only made sense that the players had gotten to the point of being fed up with the amount of ignorance on a campus that they call home. What really blows my mind are the amount of people that are literally upset with the student-athletes for kneeling but aren’t boiling mad that we’ve got people in America that clearly don’t understand what America actually is.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! A dun running around with a Confederate flag on and calling it American is delusional at best. The Confederacy loss the war bruh! They were the one’s fighting to destroy America and keep slavery as a legal institution. That means that they saw absolutely nothing wrong with owning other human beings, treating them like animals and making them work for free.

So anyone walking around celebrating the sector of people that were once the enemy of America telling folks that they are disrespecting the American flag by kneeling need to take US History all over again. The flag actually represents the very freedom they are expressing by having the right to kneel.

The Confederacy didn’t believe in the ideals of America that’s why they were at war with it. They’ve since loss the war so why would there still be a need to celebrate the people that loss and are no longer in power?

We aren’t ever going back to that level of thinking again so it only makes sense to remove the celebration of it’s existence. Stop telling folks that it’s history and that it’s our southern heritage. Sure it is, but they are no longer in power like the Berger-mistermeister Meisterberger. You don’t celebrate ignorance you celebrate the transformation of ignorance into wisdom and great rational thinking. Where else do they celebrate the loser of the war? That’s shows ignorance in and of itself.

So I applaud the young men on Ole Miss’ basketball team for standing up for what’s right and making a powerful statement when most people would have been afraid to say that racism has no place in our society. Stop me when I start lyin’!
