Why Anthony Davis has the Pelicans and their fans looking silly at this point! “It’s Complicated”

When Rich Paul announced that his client, Anthony Davis, didn’t want to stay in New Orleans and wanted to be traded. Both the Pelicans and their fans got caught in their feelings instead of looking at this as the business that it is. The Pelicans immediately removed Davis from it’s pre-game hype video that plays just before tip-off even before they attempted to trade him. They also removed him from an image of the team’s roster with the motto “Do It Big” at the conclusion of the video.

Then they decided not to play ole boy, who had been out with a left index finger injury, until after the trade deadline on Thursday. However, they never traded him so now they’ve got him for the remainder of the season.

As for the fans, they’re always hot when a player decides that he doesn’t want to play in their town anymore. Most of them will never be able to think rationally anyway. That’s why they call them fans right?

So fast forward to Friday night in New Orleans. They kept A.D. so now they’ve got no other choice but to play him. After all, he is their best player. When he steps on the floor the fans, being caught up in their emotions, start booing this dun. He pays them no mind, goes out and puts up 32 points in 25 minutes and doesn’t even play the fourth quarter in a win over Minnesota 122-117.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! The fans don’t know what to do. They don’t know whether they want to boo the dun or cheer for him. Their emotions are telling them to boo but their lighter pockets are telling them “Boy/Girl you better cheer for that dun after you spent all of that money to get up in this piece. Are you crazy?”

What are the Pelicans going to do now? Are they going to put ole boy back on the pre-game hype video or act like he’s still not on the team?

Yeah, he’s got both of them looking crazy right now.  They don’t know whether to break up with him and take the key back or keep telling people that they’re together but it’s complicated? Either way A.D.’s got both of them looking silly out in public. Stop me when I start lyin’!

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
