The Warren Central Warriors have been runnin’ through boyz like wet toilet paper all season long. They were 13-0 comin’ into the Marion County Championship game at Southport on Monday night against the defendin’ state champs Ben Davis.
Everybody and their baby’s momma knows that Warren has a team full of bonafide athletes that can go and Ben Davis is known for tryin’ to slow the rock down to wait a boy out. Well playas…Warren wasn’t havin’ Jimmy Chitwood and Co. show up and hold on to the ball. They forced the Giants to run all night as they knocked them off 55-43 to win the Marion County Championship and improve to 14-0.
Bruh…Warren Central’s guard play was NUTS!!! Antwaan Cushinberry and Dean Tate were in the pick pocket business too. They kept BD lookin’ over their shoulders all night. With two cats settin’ the tone like that makes the whip ride good.
Tate led all scorers with 20 points as Jakobie Robinson dropped off 11. David Bell had a solid 9 points and a piece of sweet potato pie for good measure.
Ben Davis never seemed to get into a rhythm all night as Aaron Henry led them with 14 points. Jalen Windham finished with 10 and the big boy in the middle, Dawand Jones, was contained to 6. The fact that Ben Davis played from behind most of the night kept them from holdin’ on to the ball like they love to do.
Warren Central is the real deal bruh. They’re goin’ to be hard to beat because you can’t game plan against them. There’s a different cat hittin’ on all cylinders every night. They’re loaded with crazy athleticism from the guard play to David Bell to Jesse Bingham to Joe Rush to whoever’s comin’ out of the bushes on a boy. At this point they’re like a locomotive goin’ down hill with no brakes.
