To all of my white friends that are asking “What can I do to help?” Thanks In Advance

Thanks for all of your support to help make this world a better place.

Now that the country has finally had an awakening of the oppressive treatment of black folks after the brutal murder of George Floyd. We’ve been screaming for help for centuries but I guess we’ve finally come to the tipping point. Nobody want wants to be on the wrong side of history while America and the world is fueled in protest right now.

All over the country white folks have been calling their black friends asking the same question. “What can I do to help?” It’s been inspiring that in this moment people other than black folks want to finally address the issue of racism.

The answer to the all important question being asked right now is no different than the neighborhood watch campaign. “If you see something say something.” That’s all we need my friend.

What’s so funny is that most people try to act like racists live on another planet and only show up in a spaceship, do damage and bounce. They don’t live among normal red blooded human beings. They seem to be creatures from out of space.

Why? Because NOBODY is willing to admit that they’re racist. Here’s the fact of the matter. White folks know who the racists are because the racist won’t hide in a crowd of people that look like them. They’ll speak openly about their hate for black folks when in the company of people that look like them. Why? Because they think that most people that look like them feel the same way they do. However, that’s grossly incorrect but most people are afraid to say something to them.

Being white I bet you’ve heard the N-word more than I have. So when you hear some idiot say something that’s out of pocket. Call them out and tell them that that type of language and behavior isn’t acceptable.

When you’re at work and a qualified black person on the job is applying for a promotion and someone says that they aren’t smart enough to be trusted with the responsibility of the job. Call them out.

If you’re with someone and they start talking crazy about why they don’t want black folks in their neighborhood or going to school with their kids etc. Call them out.

If you see folks creating a disturbance only to threaten to call the police on a black person. Call them out.

If you’re shopping and the clerk ignores the person standing in front of you in line and tries to wait on you first. Call them out.

If you’re a cop and you see one of your co-workers abusing his or her authority with black folks only. Call them out. Call out anything else that you see that’s DEAD wrong and unfair. All black folks want is to live in a world that is fair.

We’ve been calling them out for decades but when we do we get accused of playing the race card for just wanting to be treated fairly. We’re accused of reverse discrimination when he hire someone that looks like us or when we take advantage of affirmative action.

Isn’t it a shame that there has to be laws put in place for black folks and other minorities, including women, to get jobs in a country that says in it’s Declaration of Independence that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

If the powers that be really considered us all to be equals. There wouldn’t be the unrest and protests going on all over this country today. There wouldn’t be a mass incarceration of black men. There wouldn’t have been a drug epidemic in every inner city in America that has destroyed the black family. It was crime to be a drug addict or dealer when it was concentrated to the hood punishable by prison time.

However, once the drugs made their way to the suburbs it became a medical condition treatable by therapy and most states have made it legal to sell marijuana. When you see something say something.

We need your eyes, ears and voices to help make this country a great place to live. Thanks for finally asking. Stop me when I start lyin’!
