The only people that should be shocked by the Jon Gruden emails are the people that don’t know Jon Gruden. Those would also be people that don’t work within the confines of the NFL or the people that don’t work at ESPN.
Today everybody and their and cousin LeRoy is acting like Jon Gruden’s beliefs and character suddenly jumped out of a man hole and is climbing the Empire State Building like King Kong terrorizing the city.
If Gruden had the guts to literally write down all of the racist, anti-gay and misogynist emails first disclosed by The New York Times and had the guts to send them over the course of eight years. He’s got to be a complete savage face to face. Once everyone knows he’s a savage then his reputation precedes him. Even if you’ve never witnesses his behavior if you work in those circles you’ve heard of it. So none of this is a surprise to you this morning.
Think about it. If he literally took the time to write it all down from 2010 to 2018 and sent them. There had to be recipients to those emails. He had more than enough time not to send each and every one of them but he sent them anyway. So who was reading them and what did they do with them?
If he was that out of control why wasn’t anybody around the league or in the media alarmed? Why was he working for ESPN? Did they not vet him? So nobody called and said “Hey what’s up with Jon Gruden? I keep hearing things about his character.” Nobody did that? Why was he the host of the biggest football night in America? Why did the Raiders sign him to a 10 year deal worth $100 million even though he was known to be a straight savage?
Everybody that knew Jon Gruden knew that he was this same guy behind the emails even if they’d never seen the emails. This is who he is if he’s sending this same foolishness repeatedly for eight years! If he’s writing it down he’s saying it. Stop with this foolishness!
I just want everybody on television in the football and media world to stop acting like they didn’t know who Jon Gruden was. Stop acting like Joe Paterno when Sandusky finally got caught. Stop acting like all of the people around R. Kelly when he finally got caught. Everybody wants to act like they didn’t know. When people are straight savages and they aren’t hiding on an island by themselves. There are others that have been enabling them since the beginning of time and there are even more people that know who they are.
I can’t take all of these folks getting on these tv shows acting like they’re shocked that Jon Gruden was this guy.
Unfortunately, if we held accountable all of the folks that knew Gruden was a complete savage but allowed him to flourish anyway. There wouldn’t be an NFL or an ESPN this morning. Stop acting like you didn’t know. Keyshawn Johnson is the only person that kept it 100 when he said that he always knew that Gruden was a fraud.
