Durin’ the regular season boyz were upset with LeBron and the Cavs for restin’ on folk’s money! From time to time they would just post up on a boy and not play to get rest for the long run of the postseason. Now I’m still not cool with them burin’ boyz bread up to rest but I completely understand what they were doin’ from their perspective.
On Sunday they completed the sweep of Toronto with a 109-102 victory to make it two sweeps in a row. They dusted off the Indiana Pacers real quick and got a week’s rest before bein’ able to sprint through Toronto in four games too. Now they’ve got potentially another week to rest if this Boston/Washington series goes the distance. At the earliest it’ll be over on Wednesday and at the latest next Monday.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Obviously, the teams know what they’re doin’ by takin’ the necessary time durin’ the season to prepare for the long haul of the postseason, especially for duns like LeBron. He’s the only cat since Bill Russell to potentially get to seven straight Finals. Bill went to and won eight straight Finals from 1959-1966. He obviously won 11 total championships because he won in ’57, ’68 and ’69.
So I get why the dun wants to rest durin’ the regular season but it’s just not cool to do it on the fan’s dime. Like I said before, if they rest there should be a rule in place that says that they’ll lose that game check. And they should only be able to rest durin’ home games only!! Boyz shouldn’t be able to show up in an arena where people have paid hard earned money to see LeBron or whoever the dun may be and be told “Oh by the way, the dun that you paid all of that bread to see isn’t playin’ tonight!”
Now if you’re a Cavs fan then it’s all good. You don’t really care that he’ll post up on a boy at any given time because all you want is the championship. I get it! And the way LeBron is playin’ right now it’s goin’ to be hard to slow that Philistine down unless your name is David and you’ve got a sling shot bruh. The dun’s puttin’ up crazy numbers this postseason averagin’ more than 34 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.6 blocks per game and he put up 35 on Sunday afternoon!!!
Kyrie went to work on these boyz puttin’ up 27 points and 9 rebounds as Kyle Korver unloaded 18 points comin’ out of the bushes.
Yeah playa, you’ve got to admit that the rest, to some degree, has helped them but I’m still opposed to the practice because boyz are payin’ with real money to see them play. Stop me when I stop lyin’!
