Texas Tech advances? Good luck finding casual fans to watch the national title game!

MINNEAPOLIS — The Texas Tech Red Raiders from the Big 12 walked out of the joint on Saturday night like some O.G.’s at a playas convention. They were strutting around like some proud peacocks after knocking off the Big Ten’s Co-Champion, the Michigan State Spartans. They held Tom Izzo’s club to a mere 51 points as they prevailed 61-51 to advance to the national title on Monday night against Virginia.

Matt Mooney led the Red Raiders with 22 points as he went 4-8 from behind the arc. The graduate transfer put “Dem Texas Boyz” on his back as he fired up what little offense the Red Raiders had to beat one of the Blue Blood programs.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be like watching paint dry on Monday night because both Virginia and Texas Tech play crazy defense and it’ll be like watching a high school game in terms of scoring points. Look for a 53-46 ball game. Take a nap before the late 9:20 tip off because by 10:05 you’ll be sleep. Trust me on that one playa.

But give Tech props for doing work against a much more talented team in Michigan State and keeping them in check. They held the Spartans to only 32 percent shooting from the field and 29 percent from behind the arc. Defense bruh.

So on Monday we’ll have two teams playing for all of the marbles that NOBODY wants to see. Let’s just keep that real. Unless you’re a Virginia or Texas Tech fan nobody else is watching that foolishness. I’ll be front and center but good luck finding a casual fan that will tune in to that one.

The tournament interest had already taken a major hit when Zion didn’t get to the Final Four but this completely knocked all of the water off of the table. Stop me when I start lyin’!
