There is a reason why some programs are perennial losers and some are known as perennial powers. Those that know how to win know how to conduct the business of winners. Ole dull Tennessee pulled a perennial losers move by allowin’ duns on social media and uninformed protesters lookin’ to make noise, cost them a very good football coach in Greg Schiano.
In case you’ve been under a rock for the past 24 hours they were about to announce the dun as the new Volunteers head coach when boyz on social media started hollerin’ that he knew about the foolishness goin’ on at Penn State with Jerry Sandusky. Then folks started protestin’ on campus and the “powers that be” at Tennessee ran the other way. They pulled the deal off of the table and now they’re still lookin’ for a head coach.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Schiano was, in fact, on Joe Paterno’s staff when Sandusky was doin’ dirt. He was a graduate assistant in 1990 and then was the defensive backs coach from 1991-95. However, there is no proof that ole boy knew what was goin’ on with Sandusky. The court documents released last year of a deposition related to the case suggested that ole boy “might” have been aware of Sandusky’s sexual abuse of children. However, it doesn’t say that there was proof of him knowin’. Might doesn’t convict a boy in America.
Since 1995 the dun has coached as an assistant with the Chicago Bears, he was the defensive coordinator for the Miami Hurricanes. He was he head coach at Rutgers for 10 years where he pulled that program out of the gutter. He then went to Tampa Bay in the NFL for a year before goin’ to Ohio State as their defensive coordinator and assistant head coach.
Now on all of those stops the dun has been highly recommended and all but the face plant in the NFL with Tampa he’s done a fabulous job.
So Tennessee gets a chance to turn their program around and they start listenin’ to cats that know nothin’ about the truth because nobody’s really ever goin’ to know right? So some things should be left alone. He’s never goin’ to admit that he knew and there’s no way to prove that he knew. The dun hasn’t worked at Penn State in twenty years and he’s had an exemplerary track record since.
So to pull back off of him because some studio gangstas on social media and protesters that probably know nothin’ about Greg Schiano told you to is crazy. I would bet that the majority of the duns hollerin’ and screamin’ about not wantin’ him just found out who Schiano was this weekend. Foolishness!!
Again, this is the reason why Tennessee is a perennial bottom feeder in the SEC. They’re listenin’ to duns that have nothin’ to do with football tellin’ them how to make football decisions. Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.
The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
