LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP — Forget what you heard! I know what I saw and Sincere Mcmahon is everything they said he was for the Crispus Attucks Tigers finishing with 28 points. Like they used to say back in the day, “He’s all that and a bag of chips.” Ole boy led them past Cathedral in 71-68 thriller in Sectional 10.

When I tell you that this kid is special, believe me. He plays the game with the confidence of a lion and the grace of a gazelle.

Let’s pick it up after the break in which Attucks were down 41-29. They came out and went on a 11-0 run to pull to within a point to make it 41-40 within the first 3 minutes. Cathedral has completely fallen asleep at the wheel at this point.
Now it’s a battle with Cathedral fighting back with 1:51 left in the third. They’re up 50-48 but barely holding on. However, at the end of  three quarters Cathedral is still up 56-52 and it’s too good for popcorn.

Mcmahon drops a mid range to take their first lead, 60-59 with 5:07 left to play, since early in the first quarter.

With McMahon in complete control Attucks starts closing the deal by going up 65-61. This kid is running the point like nuts. Cathedral’s Jake Davis knocked down a 3-pointer to go up 66-65 with 3 minutes left. Out of frustration Cathedral’s Jalen Johnson slams the ball to the floor and picks up a a tech after committing a foul  with 2:25 left. Attucks’ Jaylen Carson misses the free throw of the one and one and Sincere makes both of the technical foul shots to put the Tigers up 67-66.

Cathedral goes up 68-67 with 1:11 left. However, Attucks’ Donavon Barnett gets the steal and puts the Tigers up 69-68 with 16.3 seconds left. Another rip Attucks and Barnett scores on the easy lay up to go up 71-68 with 3.2 left and it’s a wrap.
