Short handed Pacers couldn’t hang with Bucks in 142-133 shootout!

INDIANAPOLIS — The late comedian Robin Harris used to do a skit about Bae Bae’s Kids where his girlfriend had these bad kids that would stay up all night. They would look at him as he would be falling asleep and say “Can’t hang huh?”

Well…that’s what the Milwaukee Bucks were saying to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday night at Bankers Life Fieldhouse when they sprinted to a 142-133 win.

The Pacers, missing four starters looked as though they were going to hang with the Bucks even though two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was going crazy on them finishing with 40 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists. Did I mention that he was dunking at will?

Indiana, even though they were short handed hung in there going into the break only down 69-66.

However, Milwaukee must have gotten into Big Momma’s secret stash of high powered Red Bull because they came out of the break and went on 10-0 run. That was the difference in the ball game according to Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer. “I thought that start was the key to the game,” he said afterwards.

Four of the Bucks’ five starters finished in double figures with Jru Holiday dropping off 26 points.

His older brother, Justin, with the Pacers, led Indiana with 26 points as well knocking down 9 three-pointers with 6 in the first quarter. All five Pacers starters finished in double figures but it wasn’t enough to keep the Bucks at bay. They scored 133 points and still loss by 9. That’s NUTS!!!

Up next the banged up Lakers come to town on Saturday.
