Sha’Carri Richardson essentially said “I Don’t Give a What” by tweeting “I am human.” “Choices”

The U.S. 100 meter champion, Sha’Carri Richardson has tested positive for Cannabis and is now unlikely to compete in the event in the Olympics later this month in Tokyo. At the least she would have to serve a one month suspension and that would disqualify her for the 100 meters. She ran a 10.86 in the Olympic Trials last month and was the favorite to win the event at the Olympic games.

She had the potential of becoming the first American to win the 100 meters in the Olympics since Gail Devers won it in 1996.

The sad part about this foolishness is that she seems not to give a “what” as she tweeted “I am human” like that was a mistake that anybody could have made.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Everybody and their baby’s momma, Uncle LeRoy, Pookie and Man-Man down the street knows that there are band substances that CAN NOT be taken while competing in sports and especially the Olympics.

So to give the response that she’s human is literally saying “I don’t give a what!” And that’s the edited version.

If we’re going to keep it all the way 100. NOBODY pays attention to track and field, swimming and gymnastics until the Olympics roll around. Sure, the diehard fans of those sports keep up with it but the casual fan doesn’t wake up but every four years.

That’s called MONEY time for these athletes. The 21-year old sprinter was about to get PAID because of the popularity of the Olympics and all of the hype surrounding the event. This is endorsement time. If she’d won the event the numbers would have gone up exponentially.

However, she chose to smoke weed instead of getting paid. There is a choice that all human beings have to make when they finally grow up, not just Sha’Carri. You can chose to make a living or get high. Most jobs require their employees to be drug free. Especially those that give the employee the opportunity to build a career. Oh you’re going to be drug tested.

If you want to stay gainfully employed and build a meaningful career you’ll put the weed down. If you don’t you’ll be fired. It’s as simple as that. So everybody’s gotta decision to make, including sprinters.

If you want to make this money then you’ve got to follow the rules. If you don’t, then keep getting high and good luck with that. Congrats to Jenna Prandini, who finished fourth in the 100 meter final. She’s already been approached to run for the U.S. in the 100 meters in Tokyo. See how it works? The rules are the rules and nobody cares how you feel about them.
