NEW YORK — When you show up to the game dressed as a superhero you’ve got to make sure that you’ve got superhero powers!! Well playas…Victor Oladipo made sure that he lived up to the Black Panther costume that he rocked on Halloween. He came up big for the Indiana Pacers in the fourth quarter scoring 11 of his 24 points to help lead the Blue and Gold to a 107-101 victory over the Knicks.

He’s been dealing with a bout of bronchitis for the past week and it got even worse two days ago. Oladipo got out of the ride a bit sluggish to start the game because he was having difficulty breathing. He picked up three fouls and scored only 5 points in the first half. However, down the stretch he lived up to his costume to trick the Knicks and treat the Pacers.

Don’t fall asleep over there because Domantas Sabonis got out of the ride and did work at Madison Square Garden. Ole boy went 12 for 12 from the floor and 6 of 7 from the foul line finishing with a career high 30 points to lead the Pacers. It was NUTS!!! He was unconscious out there. Thaddeus Young dropped off a cool 13 points and 10 rebounds as Bojan Bogdanovic came through with 10.

The Pacers Achilles all season has been rebounding and free throw shooting. Well…they corrected the problem on the glass on Wednesday night in New York finally out-rebounding their opponent 41-35. However, they still couldn’t hit an elephant in the butt with a base fiddle from the foul line shooting a dismal 64.7 percent.

It’s a work in progress and I’m sure Pacers fans will definitely take the win. Up next Chicago at the United Center on Friday. Stop me when I start lyin’!
