BLOOMINGTON — Finally…the real Romeo Langford has stood up!!! It took 14 games but now everybody and their Uncle LeRoy saw what all of the hype was about on Thursday night as the McDonald’s All-American arrived on campus. He jumped out of ride and went to work on Illinois after the kids from the border state pulled up in the Big Body Chevy and went up 25-15 to start the game.

With Rob Phinisee out with an injury the Hoosiers relied more on Langford to have the ball in his hands and he dropped off a career high 28 points at Big Momma’s house to lead IU to a 73-65 win over the Fighting Illini.

The No.21 Hoosiers (12-2, 3-0 Big Ten) looked sluggish to start the game after an 11-day layoff falling behind 10 points but the young freshman showed boyz why he’s a potential lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. He’s always had the skill set and some unbelievable talent. However, he just sits on it from time to time but when he gets going it’s amazing to watch.

Talk about being efficient, he went 8 of 13 from the field and 11 of 15 from the foul line to lead the Hoosiers past Illinois. When they needed him the most he showed up big. Sure, it was a team effort because they played great defense causing 21 Illinois turnovers but in order for IU to be as good as they can be, Romeo’s got to take over.

The closer they get to NCAA Tournament time he’s got to become the dog we all know that he can be. He can’t be picking and choosing when he’s going to put the cape on. He’s got to show up every night with it on. He’s the best player on the floor most nights bruh! It’s time to act like it.

The Hoosiers are undefeated in conference play so far and they have a legitimate shot at giving the Big Ten problems “IF” he keeps the cape on. Up next Michigan in Ann Arbor on Sunday!
