NASHVILLE — Everybody and their baby’s momma was excited about the Purdue Boilermakers getting to a bowl game this year after they started the season 0-3. They took care of business down the stretch to finish 6-6 to become bowl eligible. Well playas…that’s when the bottom fell out. They picked up the Auburn Tigers in the Music City Bowl, had a great time in the week leading up to the game, walked out on the field and got the brakes beaten off of them 56-7 in the first half!!!

They cancelled the second half like a weather delay bruh. Well…I wish they would have because it was brutal to watch the rest of it. Auburn took their feet off of the pedal and only beat them 63-14. It was the most points ever scored by an SEC team in a bowl game in the history of the college football.

The Boilermakers hadn’t given up a first quarter touchdown for three straight games. Then all of a sudden Auburn jumps out of the Big Body Chevy and dives all over them on their first possession. It took them only three plays to go 75 yards to hit pay dirt. Purdue turned the rock over on downs after seven plays and Auburn wasted no time punching it right back down their throats after Purdue missed a wide open potential interception.

The boys from the SEC turned that missed opportunity of the Boilermakers into 7 more points in just 9 plays. On the very next possession David Blough was reckless with the football and threw a pick to Javaris Davis as the Tigers took over in the red zone. They punched it in before I could take a sip of my soda. It was 21-0 midway through the first quarter and Jeff Brohm and Co. were looking to hit the rewind button to the start day over.

Instead of completely freaking out the Boilermakers regained their composure and marched right back down the field to score on a 7 yard touchdown run by Rondale Moore.

Well..I thought that they’d regained it. Just two plays later Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham hit Darius Slayton for a 74 yard touchdown pass to go up 28-7. It was obvious that Purdue didn’t have the athletes to keep up with these cats. Their defensive backs were getting sprinted past like they were standing still. Keep in mind this was just the first quarter!!!

The second quarter hadn’t even started good before Jarrett Stidham hit Darius Slayton on a 54-yard touchdown pass to go up 35-7.

On the next possession David Blough’s pass was batted down that resulted in a Big Kat Bryant 20-yard touchdown to extend it to 42-7. At that point we could officially say that the Boilermakers had wet the bed so bad that Big Momma couldn’t even turn the mattress over.

It was 56-7 at the half bruh!!! It was the most points scored at the half in ANY bowl game in the history of college football!!! WHAT!!!?

Jarrett Stidham was 13/18 for 335 yards and four touchdowns at the half!!!! He finished the day with 373 yards and 5 touchdowns. Darius Slayton finished with 160 yards on 3 catches for 3 touchdowns all in the first half. I tried to get the Boilermakers to throw in the towel, get on the bus and head back to West Lafayette but they wouldn’t listen.

They wanted more of that foolishness so Auburn drug them for an additional 30 minutes with the reserves. Well at least they went bowling right? That’s a rhetorical question my friend. Stop me when I start lyin’!
