Purdue finally acts like a football school and backs the truck up for Jeff Brohm! “Chris Brown”

WEST LAFAYETTE — Well playas…Purdue Boilermaker fans are dancing in the streets with David Bowie and Mick Jagger this morning. As a matter of fact, they’ve been up all night with Lionel Richie dancing on the ceiling because Jeff Brohm is staying in West Lafayette. On Tuesday Purdue fans were biting their finger nails when ole boy decided to sit down with his alma mater, the University of Louisville, to at least listen to what a boy had to say.

On the surface it looked like a no brainer when you’re from Louisville, played at Louisville and still has family in Louisville. However, Purdue did what no one in this part of the country ever thought they would do. They made a commitment to football like they were in the south.

They unloaded the truck in front of his house, turned on the fan and blew bread into his front door. According to my mans and nem (hood for unnamed sources) they increased his annual salary from $3.8 million to well over $5 million. That’s big time college football program’s money right there playa. They don’t pay that type of bread to football coaches at Purdue but they do now.

Keep in mind that when they hired ole boy in December of 2016 they walked him in with a 6-year deal worth $20 million which literally came to about $3.3 million per year. Then after he came in and won 7 ball games including a bowl game last year they bumped him to $3.8 million this past April.

Louisville did him a solid when they fired Bobby Petrino’s ole motorcycle riding butt, not that they were looking out for Brohm, but the fact that the interest created demand for the Purdue coach which eventually helped to increase his salary. The old timers call it being in the right place at the right time.

Think about it bruh, Purdue’s a much better program because they’ve got crazy facilities and it’s in the Big Ten with a television package called the Big Ten Network. So they’ve got the resources to become an even bigger program. I just never thought that Purdue would make the financial commitment to a head coach like that. I guess they’re finally understanding that you can build a lot more buildings on campus and fund a lot more research when your football team is good. Boosters give a lot more money when they’re happy.

I did think that by going to Louisville he had a better shot at winning a conference title and competing for a national title because he would be in the ACC. There’s nobody in the ACC but Clemson at this point. Teams like Florida State, Miami and Va. Tech are on the skids right now. So he could compete right away for the conference title and get to the College Football Playoff right away.

However, at the end of the day he got what folks get up and go to work for everyday!! That bread!!! I’m quite sure, Louisville wasn’t prepared to pay him $6 million because they are a basketball school that just got into some serious trouble fooling around with Rick Pitino and until they get out from underneath that foolishness they won’t have the purse strings to spend that type of money on anything.

Congrats to the big homie Jeff Brohm for turning the Purdue program around in such a short period of time. When they hired him the Boilermakers had only won 9 games in a four year period and in the two years since he’s been in town eating at the Triple XXX he’s won 13 and have been to two bowl games. Oh, it’s about to be Chris Brown up in West Lafayette!! That’s “On and Poppin’!” for all of you cats that don’t listen to R&B music. Stop me when I start lyin’!
