Pacers take care of business on back end of a back to back to drop Philly 100-92

The NBA started the season two weeks early this year to reduce the amount of back to backs each team has to play from an average of 16 to 14 because the product on the second night statistically has been trash. It’s typically a blowout or just not very entertainin’.

Well playas…both Indiana and Philly showed up on Saturday night comin’ off of games on Friday. Philly blasted Miami at the crib and Indiana gave up a franchise record 49 points down in Charlotte in a loss to the Hornets. So everybody and their baby’s momma wanted to see which one of these teams would lay the egg.

However, they both competed at a very high level with Indiana walkin’ out of the joint with a 100-92 win.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I just assumed that Philly would come into the joint and completely lay down because they had played so well on Friday and several of the players were plannin’ to go to the Super Bowl after the game.

Think about it, young boyz, plenty of bread, thoughts of the Super Bowl party later tonight. It was a no brainer I thought. I figured they would come in and simply go through the motions. It looked like they were about to get blasted when the Pacers went up 40-27 in the second quarter but Philly came stormin’ back on a 24-10 rally to go up 51-50.

I was completely wrong about Joel Embid  and Co. It was a ball game the rest of the way.

Victor Oladipo and Bojan Bogdanovic each finished with 19 points each. Lance “The Don Dada came out of the bushes with 14 points and some crazy energy to keep the crowd in the game. Not only did he put points on the board but he played some ridiculous defense as well. Darren Collison added 11 as both Thaddeus Young and Domantas Sabonis dropped off 10 apiece.

Gotta give Joel Embid props for playin’ in his first ever back to back and not layin’ an egg. Ole boy finished with 24 points and 10 rebounds all knowin’ he was about to get it in at the Super Bowl. Now that’s focus right there bruh.

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

2) Comin’ of of the bushes: verb phrase – to come off of the bench

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
