If you didn’t know any better you would have thought that it was the first round of the NBA Playoffs in Philly on Tuesday night. The Pacers rolled into town to beat Philly 101-98 after beatin’ Boston on the road a couple of nights before sittin’ in the third seat in the East. The 76ers are in the sixth spot and if the playoffs were to start today they would be playin’ each other.

So guess what? They gave us a preview and it was great! With Victor Oladipo strugglin’ to make shots goin’ 4-21 from the field scorin’ only 11 points. Myles Turner took over and led the Pacers with 25. Thaddeus Young jumped out of the passenger seat with 19 as Corey Joseph came out of the trunk with 13.

Indiana is now 40-28 on the season 12 games above .500 comin’ down the stretch. Philly understood that Indiana will probably be the team they’ll be facin’ in the playoffs so they started talkin’ $100 worth of noise and tryin’ to push boyz around in a losin’ effort.

Followin’ a Pacers’ timeout Joel Embiid was talkin’ crazy to Nate McMillan. He also picked up a technical foul for pushin’ Lance Stephenson in the back after ole boy converted a layup.

Earlier in the second quarter Lance got up ready to scrap when Ben Simmons hit him with a hard foul. The kid from Brooklyn came out as he pointed at Simmons like “Hey playa, if that’s how you want it I can give it to ya!”

It’s almost playoff time and that’s an entirely different animal than the regular season and I can’t wait. The final 14 games should be a blast because everybody and their baby’s momma is jockeyin’ for a playoff position. Put ya seat belts on because it’s goin’ to be a bumpy ride. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
