Pacers hold off a pesky Rockets squad! Malcolm Brogdon scores a career high 35 points!

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Pacers won their second straight ball game to improve to 6-2 on the season as they knocked off the struggling Houston Rockets (2-4) 114-107.

Malcolm Brogdon led all scorers with a career high 35 points. He knocked down the go-ahead three-pointer with 2:22 left to play to help Indiana seal the deal.

The Pacers had four players finish in double figures. Domantas Sabonis dropped off his 8th straight double-double of the season with 22 points and 12 rebounds. Justin Holiday came off of the bench with 20 points. He had three 3-pointers with the first of those being his 133rd off the bench for Indiana. That broke a tie with Sam Perkins for 7th all-time in the franchise’s NBA history.

Victor Oladipo had 18 points and 9 rebounds. Myles Turner finished with only 2 points but he did work on the defensive end as he tied a career best for the second time this season with 8 blocks.

John Wall finished with a season-high 28 points for the Rockets as James Harden was held to a mere 15 points. However, he had a solid 12 assists.

Up next the Pacers will host Phoenix as they visit on Saturday.
