INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana came in on the back end of a back to back after losing a tough one 122-120 in Charlotte on Tuesday night. They bounced back like some real G’s to straight blast the Washington Wizards 121-106 to get their fourth out of five games. They started the season 0-3 and they’ve really picked up some momentum. On Wednesday night they started their fifth lineup in eight games due to a rash of injuries.

TJ Warren led the Blue and Gold with 21 points. Doug McDermott caught fired coming off of the bench with 19 points that included four 3-pointers. Aaron Holiday dropped off 18 points on his way to Big Momma’s house as he entered the starting lineup. Ole boy made good on the opportunity. Domantas Sabonis re-entered the starting lineup after missing two games due to injury. He put up 13 points and grabbed an amazing 17 rebounds.

Jakaar Sampson did crazy work putting up 14 points as he got the start as well. Sometimes these snake bites can be an early season blessing for a team. Like I said before the Pacers have started five different lineups in eight games this season. That’s NUTS!!!

At least Nate gets to see what he’s got to work with and we’re not even into mid-Novemeber yet.

Indiana had great ball movement finishing with 35 assists. Nate’s goals is typically 24. So they were way over what he likes to have to win games. Again, he’s getting that type of production from his reserves. It’s going to be crazy when his team gets healthy.

Up next: Detroit at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Friday.
