Oladipo and Pacers jump all over the Celtics with fresh legs to win at Boston! “Effort”

The world of back to backs and terrible play on the back end of them is real in the NBA. The league started the season two weeks early this season to cut down on the average number of back to backs teams would have to play this season from 16 to 14. Well playas…the Boston Celtics became the latest victim of it on Friday night after comin’ off of an overtime win at Washington on Thursday when they ran into a mack truck in a fresh Indiana squad losin’ to them 97-91.

The Pacers came into the joint fresh after havin’ a night off on Wednesday in New Orleans because their dull roof was leakin’. The game was postponed until later. So they’d been chillin’ all week since Monday and caught Boston reelin’ at the crib and jumped all over them in the first half.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Indiana was up by as many as 26 points before Boston even realized that they were even in a game. They tried to make a valiant comeback but it was too late. Boyz had already, like the old school coaches used to say, “Gotten their dandruff up.”

Victor Oladipo led the Pacers with 35 points and 10 rebounds. Myles Turner got busy with 19 points and dropped off 7 rebounds. Both Thaddeus Young and Bojan Bogdanovic finished with 10 apiece but Young went nuts on the glass grabbin’ 14.

Uncle LeRoy used to always say that rebounds were an example of who wanted it more. It’s all effort and the Pacers put up way more effort than the Celtics with a 53-38 advantage on the glass. Again, the back to back vs boyz sittin’ since Monday played a huge factor in this ball game. I know that Pacers fans aren’t trippin’ and will take it every time.

Kyrie led the Brad Stevens crew with 21 followed by Jason Tatum’s 15 but it wasn’t enough to climb out of the hole they created for themselves in the first half or better yet, the hole that the Pacers threw them in.

Indiana has won 31 games so far and most cats, like myself, didn’t see this team winnin’ 25 all season. I know that I didn’t. You’ve gotta give Kevin Pritchard and Co. tall props for holdin’ it down when nobody believed in what he was tryin’ to do. Salute my brother and up next the dull Knicks on Sunday and you can stop me when I start lyin’!

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
