NBA fines Clippers $50K for Doc Rivers’ analysis of Kawhi on preview show! “Straight Trippin’!”

Really bruh? Really?

Rules are put into place for a reason. They keep order in places where there would be none and they keep foolishness and chaos from occurring. However, there is something called the letter of the law verses the spirit of the law which becomes an idiomatic antithesis. For y’all that’s checking it’s to have opposite meaning.

When one obeys or enforces the letter of the of the law but not the spirit it gets dicey. They are obeying the literal interpretation of the words (letter) but not necessarily it’s intent. On Friday the NBA and Adam Sliver fined the Clippers for comments made by Doc Rivers while on ESPN’s Finals Preview Show.

On the broadcast ole boy was simply talking basketball and Kawhi Leonard’s name came up because the dun is playing in the Finals. They’re having a preview of the Finals and he’s one of the biggest factors in the series. He has to be discussed from a basketball standpoint. Otherwise, what’s the point.

Doc makes the comment on Kawhi that “He is the most like Jordan that we’ve seen. Like, there’s a lot of great players. LeBron is phenomenal. KD is phenomenal. But he is the most like him.”

He’s goes on to say, “Big hands. Post game. Can finish. Great leaper. Great defender. In-between game. If you beat him to the spot, bumps you off. Then you add his 3-point shooting. I never get into who’s the best player. Magic is the best player, Michael Jordan is the best player, LeBron. But it’s that same group.”

The league jumped out of the birthday cake butt naked foaming at the mouth fining boyz because they are stuck on the letter of the law knowing full well that what they’re doing isn’t following the spirit of the law. A mole could see that at midnight in a tunnel with blind folds on.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! There are instances where the letter and spirit are riding in the same car together listening to the same music.

Back in 2017 when Magic jumped on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and made some “come on over here” wink-wink-type remarks about Paul George coming to LA to play with the Lakers he deserved the $500,000 fine they hit him with. Why? Because he was hollerin’ at ole boy without hollerin’ at him. He was literally recruiting. However, Doc was discussing basketball players preparing to play in the freakin’ game he was doing a preview show for. Those are entirely two different things.

Will somebody tell Adam Sliver to loosen his belt and take a chill pill. He’s trippin’. Stop me when I start lyin’!
