Myles Garrett needs to stop making excuses for hitting Mason Rudolph with his helmet! “Own It and Move On”

Cleveland’s Myles Garrett was reinstated by the NFL on Wednesday after being suspended by the league for hitting Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet. At the end of their game back in November ole boy literally body slammed the Steelers quarterback to the ground with 8 seconds left to play while they were up 14 points.

Rudolph was fired up as he should have been because it was totally unnecessary. The quarterback attempted to pull Garrett’s helmet off while he was still on the ground. Then Garrett grabbed Rudolph’s helmet, yanked it off, swung it and hit him in the head with it.

On Thursday’s ESPN Sports Center Garrett, during an interview with OTL’S Mina Kimes, was still sticking to his story “He called me the N-word.”

From jump, ole boy has been trying to justify hitting the quarterback in the head with his helmet by using that excuse.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Myles Garrett lost $1.2 million after missing six games and then they hit him with an additional fine of $45,623. The question I always ask boyz is this, if he did in fact say it, “Was it worth you losing your mind and all your bread because the other person was ignorant?”

How is it that Garrett heard it and nobody else on the field heard it? Being black in America you’re almost programed to pick that word up in crowded concert. That word doesn’t just get by you.

So if Garrett heard it every black player within an ear shot would have heard it and nobody’s going to say they didn’t hear if they did even if they were Rudolph’s teammate. Teammates are teammates but brotherhood is brotherhood playa.

Somebody would have come out and said, “Ole boy called him the N-Word so he bought that butt whooping that he just got. I can’t help him with that one.” That’s just real talk. There are more black players on the field than white. So somebody else would have heard it is my point.

However, at this point Myles Garrett needs to stop trying to justify acting a fool and be glad that he’s been reinstated. Continuing to try to get people to understand why he acted a fool is silly. You’ve served the suspension and now it’s time to move on.

As a grown man, you can’t lose your mind when someone says something ignorant to you. You can’t lose your source of income because you want to get your lick back. That’s something that a child does. When you’ve got responsibilities you’ve got to think before you react. Had he done that he’d be darn near $1.3 million richer today. I’m just giving him the same advice Big Momma and Pops would have given him. Stop me when I start lyin’!
