LeBron still shows class and has time for the kids after a 42-point loss to the Pacers! “Class Act”

INDIANAPOLIS — The ole timers used to always say, “To know a person’s character is to see how they handle adversity. What do they do in their worse moments?” Well…LeBron James suffered his worse loss in his 16 year NBA career on Tuesday night to the Indiana Pacers as the Lakers got drug by 42 points losing 136-94.

Ole boy sat down the entire fourth quarter because it was pointless. They’d already given up 101 points by the end of three quarters. However, you can say what you want about LeBron but what you can’t say is that he’s not a class act.

As he’s walking off of the floor after the worse loss of his career there are kids wearing King James jerseys hanging over the rails just waiting to get a close up glimpse of the man they call LeBron. I was standing in the tunnel as I always do at the end of every game because I hate dealing with the crowd coming from my media seat. LeBron stops and signs autographs, gives several kids his arm bands, rubber bracelets, gives them high fives and shakes their hands. They’ll remember that for the rest of their lives.

That’s what you didn’t see on television or won’t see reported today. This man’s team just got the brakes beaten off of them and he’s got time to stop and be nice to kids who’s parents paid big money to see him play. That’s what it’s all about right there.

Sure, it’s got to be tough to come out and play a game with a roster full of cats that are on the trading block because none of them are focused. The Lakers have been in hot pursuit of Anthony Davis while Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball (didn’t play as a result of injury) were all tradable assets as of Tuesday afternoon. So it is what it is.

However, who would have thought that the Pacers would be shooting the rock the way they did against the Lakers? It was nuts but to see the way LeBron handled getting beat that bad was incredible. Hate on him all you want but he’s a class act. Stop me when I start lyin’!
