Everybody and their baby’s momma had been waitin’ to see the final match up of the season between Cleveland and Boston at the Garden on Wednesday night. They both had identical records comin’ into the ball game but LeBron and Co. walked outta the joint standin’ on top of the Eastern Conference once again after beatin’ the brakes off of the Celtics 114-91 and holdin’ the tiebreaker if needed.
Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! They blasted these cats in front of Big Momma without Tristan Thompson, who is out with a sprained wrist! LeBron had his way with these boyz! He was gettin’ buckets at will in any kind of way he wanted them. He finished with 36 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. I was reminded of Proverbs 30:18-19 as he was doin’ work on the C’s. “There are three things that are too amazing for me, four that I do not understand: The way of an eagle in the sky, The way of a serpent on a rock, The way of a ship in the middle of the sea, And the way of a man with a maid.”
The hoop version of that would be “The way of LeBron with the darn Boston Celtics when boyz tried to doubt his ability to still do work!”
Not only did ole boy jump out of the ride and get butt naked but the rest of the Cleveland startin’ five were able to get naked and do work too. Every one of them finished in double figures. Kyrie hit ‘um in the face with 19 points and 5 assists. Kevin Love exploded for 15 points and 16 rebounds. J.R. Smith dropped off 12 points and Channing Frye came out of the trunk with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Boyz had somethin’ to prove and they did it on national television for all of you cats that thought that it wasn’t what it was.
Cleveland is still by far the best team in the East and will have no problem gettin’ to the Finals! Why? Because LeBron is still alive and well. As long at that dun is on the floor whoever he’s playin’ for is goin’ to the Finals. Why? Because he can get buckets any kind of way he wants them. In the famous words of Bill Russell choppin’ it up with Uncle Drew, “What these young bloods have to understand is that this game has always been and will always be about buckets!”
As long as that dun can get buckets he’s goin’ to be on top of the game and unstoppable! Stop me when I start lyin’!
1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.
The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
