LeBron gives Ja Morant his props for being that DUDE. Something Jordan would NEVER do. “I’m just sayin’!”

Even after a loss to Memphis on Saturday night LeBron didn’t hesitate to give Ja Morant his props for being a straight up dawg on the floor. The Grizzlies handed the Lakers a 105-88 spanking with Morant going nuts finishing with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists.

LeBron, while sitting at his locker afterwards, gave the kid nothing but love. “The kid is super special. Like I said when we just played him in L.A., Memphis got a great one. They got a great one. So, the sky’s the limit for the kid.”

That was total class right there. Morant, who’s probably the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year honors, was humbled after his first win over King James and had this to say, “That’s big bro — the King. I mean, I feel like everybody knows who he is. Just somebody that I look up to, a great [role] model. He’s just one of a kind. I don’t think there can be another LeBron.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I love it when players, current and former, give cats their props for ballin’ out instead of always hating by purposely saying nothing when everybody sees the guy killin’ the game. Prime example would be how the great Michael Jordan has never gave the greatest player of this era and possibly the best all around player we’ve ever seen his props.

We always hear cats like Shaq, Barkley, Kenny, Reggie and everybody else on TV shows, podcasts and in interviews giving these young boyz love on their games. All we ever hear from Mike is him talking about who he could still beat one on one. The only person he ever gave props to was Kobe and he was taking a dig at him when saying it. He would say that he probably couldn’t beat him because Kobe stole all of his moves. Incredible!!!

My point is, I’m always happy to hear a legend speak highly of the new cats coming up. It’s not about LeBron, it’s about the game continuing to grow and get better. With young thunder cats like Morant coming up the game is in good hands like Allstate.

LeBron giving him love is the proper thing to do even in a loss. Stop me when I start lyin’!
