Klay Thompson’s injury ends Golden State’s hopes of resurrecting a dynasty. The window has closed. “A Brand New West”

It’s crazy how the NBA can change or shift on a dime. At one point the Golden State Warriors looked like they would rule the NBA for the foreseeable future. They were young and unstoppable. The next thing you know injuries have changed everything. Klay Thompson, who missed the entire 2019-20 season with a torn ACL suffered in Game 6 of the 2019 Finals against Toronto, will now miss the entire 2020-21 season with a ruptured achilles. Steph Curry broke his wrist and missed most of last season too. It was a rough 2019-20 season for the Warriors.

Thompson suffered the achilles injury on Wednesday while playing in Southern California with other NBA players. He had an MRI on Thursday morning to confirm the injury. He was gearing up for the upcoming season where both he and Steph Curry would be back. Boyz were looking to get back on top of the NBA but this really hurts any chances of Golden State even competing in the West. Bruh…the dynasty is over.

Without Klay, the Warriors don’t compete at the top of the West now or compete at all in the West with teams like the Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks and Nuggets being locked and loaded. Heck, if we’re going to keep it real, they don’t even make the playoffs without Klay. That’s how valuable he is to them.

I know that Steph is a beast but he can’t carry them without another shooter like Klay. The West is loaded and Golden State would need all of their fire power to even compete. It’s a brand new West now and dynasties come and go. The Warriors window has suddenly closed shut. It was good while it lasted. Stop me when I start lyin’!
