Kevin Pritchard slammin’ Lance Stephenson showed NO loyalty to the process. “Family Secrets”

"What chu talkin' bout Willis?"

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. — Colin Powell once said, “Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence.” Minna Antrim, the famous writer, broke it down like this, “Love often wears a mask in order to test loyalty.” Then Tommy Lasorda put it where the goats can get it when he spit, “You give loyalty, you’ll get it back. You give love, you’ll get it back.”

Well playas…where I grew up loyalty is EVERYTHING. You can’t survive in this world without it and those that don’t show it seem to struggle keepin’ relationships alive. When speakin’ with media-types Pacers president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard slammed Lance Stephenson in his opinion of him now that ole boy is no longer with the organization.

He had this to say about the former Pacers’ guard that they decided to cut last week. “Sometimes he was the best player on our team, and sometimes he was the best player on the other team. We love Lance and we wish him the best.”

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! Everybody and their baby’s momma that has watched two seconds of the Pacers with Lance on the floor knows that the dun could be a turnover machine from time to time. However, he was the energy that Indiana often needed to get over the hump.

Sure, the beer man had to keep his head on a swivel because Lance was goin’ to hit him in the side of the head with an errant pass while tryin’ to show boat. However, if it weren’t for “The Don Dada” the Pacers wouldn’t have even sniffed the playoffs when they re-signed him with 6 games left in the 2017 season. They won 5 out of 6 of those games to get into the playoffs.

We all know that the dun could be a handful to keep focused. However, he was your guy!! When he’s your guy, problem or whatever you’d like to call him he was family. You can’t slam him once he’s out of the door because that shows no loyalty. What ole boy said was 100 percent the truth but you can’t say it even if EVERYBODY already knows that he’s robbin’ you blind. Why? Because when you start talkin’ crazy about him or her you give everybody in the street to freely slam them and that’s foul.

That’s like someone goin’ out into the street and tellin’ boyz that their kid is a crackhead and he’s stealin’ everything in the house. It’s true but family doesn’t talk about family publicly even if you can’t stand the dun. Once Lance has played for the Pacers he’s family and you leave it at that.

Pritchard’s comments were inappropriate because everybody in the room knew who Lance was when they re-signed him and he was a huge contributor to the team regardless of his analytics. He wasn’t slammin’ him publicly when he was a member of the Pacers so why slam him now. He’s gone and you got out of him what you needed.

He was a fan favorite so allow him to leave gracefully.

Therefore, his comment should have started and stopped with “We love Lance and we wish him the best.” You don’t tell the family secrets even if what you’re sayin’ is true. Where I’m from they call that a Foul Ball bruh and fans around this piece often wonder why Indiana can’t attract superstar free agents. It’s stunts like this that cause other players to raise their eye brows. Shakin’ my darn head and stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

2) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.

3) Ole boy: noun – the person that I’m currently talkin’ about.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”
