The Cleveland Cavaliers have finally waived JR Smith. He only played 11 games last season after he agreed to leave the team in November to await to be traded or released. In other words, they were tired of fooling around with him. The team had been looking to trade the dun since November with no luck.

Only a portion of his $15.6 million salary was guaranteed for next season. So they worked out a deal to extend that guarantee date from June 30 to July 15. By doing so, that boosted his guarantee from $3.9 million to $4.4 million, but they were still unable to trade him. So they waived him.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! If it weren’t for LeBron’s dominance in Cleveland, JR Smith’s career would have been over in December of 2015. Keep in mind that the Knicks traded both Smith and Iman Shumpert to the Cavs for a 2019 2nd round draft pick and LeBron won a championship with them.

They were trade for a dun that was just drafted last month. Therefore, they weren’t worth two dead flies smashed to the Knicks when they let them go. So whatever money JR has made since was bonus. His career should have been over darn near four years ago.

Don’t cry for him because he’s overachieved at this point. He won a championship, made a ton of bread and got even more famous because of LeBron James. Stop me when I start lyin’!
