If Kyle Rittenhouse and Dylann Roof weren’t killed by the police. Ma’Khia Bryant shouldn’t have been either!

Just as the verdict was being read in the Derek Chauvin case and America was finally celebrating his murder conviction for killing George Floyd. The bottom fell out again.

This time a 16 year old black girl, Ma’Khia Bryant, in Columbus, Ohio was shot four times in the chest by an officer during a fight as she attacked another young lady with a knife.

Body camera footage shows Bryant charging a young woman or girl with the knife as officer Nicholas Reardon gets out of his car. He shoots her within seconds.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! I’ve seen folks screaming all over social media that she had a knife and that she was threatening the life of people. The officer had no other option according to them. Police policy says that if someone is threatening other folks with deadly force. Then the officer can use deadly force.

I would agree with that “IF” that is what we’ve been seeing from our white officers when dealing with white people. However, that isn’t what happens in situations involving white defendants. We saw Kyle Rittenhouse drive to Kenosha, Wisconsin and kill two people and injure another with a high powered assault rifle, walk down the street past police, get into his mother’s car and go home. He wasn’t even stopped and talked too but you’re telling me that Ma’Khia Bryant was more of a threat than he was?

We saw Dylann Roof kill nine people in a South Carolina church and when the police showed up they literally took him to Burger King to eat before taking him to jail. So you’re telling me that Ma’Khia Bryant was more of a threat than he was?

We’ve witnessed white folks threatening police and also pulling off with officers hanging onto the vehicle without being shot and killed. We just want the police to value our lives too. Only use deadly force when absolutely necessary.

I grew up in ANY HOOD, USA too. I’ve seen my share of young ladies fighting. Bryant was indeed charging the other girl with a knife. However, that officer had other options to get that situation under control. As a grown man he could have easily tackled her and taken the knife or at the very least pinned her to the ground.

I’m not telling you what I heard I’m telling you what I know. She was a kid that didn’t even see the officer because she was so caught up in the fight. As a trained officer with a taser on his hip he could have hit her with that if he was scared to get close. What’s the point in training these officers if they’re going to be scared out here on the street?

Tackle the girl or tase the girl and take her to jail. It’s as simple as that. I’ve seen more fights and broke up more fights than I care to remember and yes some folks had weapons. If the person isn’t fighting or charging you they don’t even see you coming.

They may as well just hire people and not train them if these officers are always screaming that they were afraid. It’s pointless to train folks that are still going to react like someone that hasn’t been trained.

Another tragedy where the officer will probably get off because the stupid policy says that he has the right to shoot her because she had the knife. Just because he had the right based on the policy doesn’t mean that he should have shot her. Stop me when I start lyin’!
