Gotta respect Kevin Durant for tellin’ boyz that he’s not goin’ to the White House! “Game Recognize Game”

Stephen Covey, the famous author, once said, “There are three constants in life… change, choice and principles.” Dwight D. Eisenhower broke it down like this, “A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.” Then Franklin D. Roosevelt put it where the goats could get it when he spit, “Rules are not necessarily sacred, principles are.”

Well playas…there’s no rule that says that a boy has to follow tradition especially if it compromises a man’s principles. If bein’ treated with respect and honor is important to a man and the president isn’t doin’ that to all people then why should a boy be obligated to show up at his crib? On Thursday when Kevin Durant was asked durin’ Kevin Durant day in his hometown of Seat Pleasant if he would visit the White House if the Golden State Warriors were invited to come his answer was a direct, “Nah, I won’t do that. I don’t respect who’s in office right now.” It doesn’t get any clearer than that homie. Game recognize game!

He goes on to say, “I don’t agree with what he agrees with, so my voice is going to be heard by not doing that. That’s just me personally, but if I know my guys well enough, they’ll all agree with me. I just wanted to sit back and analyze everything and gather my thoughts. I wanted to say something immediately, but I definitely want to be the voice of where I come from and people who have come from my neighborhood and deal with oppression.

Let’s keep it real or all the way 100, whichever comes 1st! At some point duns are goin’ to start to understand that everybody’s experience in America isn’t the same. So you can’t expect everyone’s outlook on the American experience to be the same. It would be great if we all saw the car accident from the same perspective but we simply don’t.

Check this out bruh, God allowed John, Mark and Luke to write about the same thing in the New Testament. They all wrote about the cruxification. Why? Because they all saw it from different perspectives. So if God saw fit to allow the most important event in the history of mankind to be written three times when he needed ABSOLUTELY no help tellin’ his OWN story. He obviously understands that not everybody’s experiece in every situation is goin’ to  be the same.

So why would duns believe that black folks in America that have suffered the most discrimination of any group of people in this country for the longest period of time datin’ back to 1619. That was the year that the first slaves were brought to this country. The foolishness has gone on through the Jim Crow era, the Civil Rights Movement and even today it still exists when some police officers are killin’ unarmed black men and women durin’ routine traffic stops or for sellin’ loose cigarettes and even kids playin’ with toy guns and their not bein’ fired, arrested, charged, convicted or sent to jail for their actions. Only to have our president defend White Supremacists for bein’ a bunch of terrorists.

This isn’t just about him disrespectin’ black folks but it’s about the mistreatment Jews, gays, lesbians and transgenders and women alike. Why on earth would anyone from those groups of people voluntarily visit the White House? It makes no sense! Who cares if it’s been a tradition? It’s not a law and traditionally our presidents have operated with some class and dignity.

I applaud Kevin Durant for tellin’ boyz what he thought about this foolishness in August so they won’t have to keep askin’ him about it up until they show up in the nation’s capital on February 28 to play the Wizards. He ain’t goin’ playa so don’t ask. Stop me when I start lyin’!

Playas Thesaurus:

1) Spit: verb – to say

2) Dun: noun – the person in question, dude, guy, etc. It’s whoever I’m talkin’ about and its non-gender specific.

3) Put it where the goats can get it: verb phrase – to make it as elementary as possible. To put it at ground level so everyone can understand it.

The G is excluded from the endings of all words because the G is near and dear to my heart because I’m from “The G” which is Gary, Indiana. So I only use the G when I’m talkin’ about “The G!”

The caption under the photo isn’t real but its real talk!
